Travel shops are on every corner in BKK and Pattaya. Go in, ask for a fare quote and try 3-4 shops. Take the fare that meets your need and buy it then. On the internet, the fares are fuckin outrageous. Just buy one in LOS at a travel agency and you are set at $220 - $250. If you insist on paying $600 then look me up in LOS & give me $600. I'll bring your ticket to you in about 30 minutes. Mark

Dave, Your first time in & you want somewhere "lively". I recommend Eastiny Place on Soi 8. Two reasons 1) Location is great & baht bus on 2nd road or on Beach road is just a 1 minute walk out your hotel door. You can get anywhere in minutes. 2) It's on Soi 8 smack dab in the middle of a ton of beer bars! Location, location! Also, take a look at the hotel review thread on this board. Search for Eastiny. Sullo, Just take a flight. It's much easier, safer & you'll arrive refreshed. The visa on arrival is $20 & you do need two of the small visa photos to give them. Inisde the arrival door is the immigration counter. One takes your passport and photos, the next collects the $20 and the next hands you back your passport complete with visa. I can't recommed enough to take $1 & $5 bills. They will accept US currency almost everywhere. BUT, if you give them anything much bigger than a $10 us bill, change is hard to come by. Be safe, stick with $1's and $5's. Have a good time

Hello, I've done the flight several times and never have dealt with just one travel agent. All quote different prices depending on the specials they have gotten from consolidaters. I find it consistent that when I check in Pattaya I pay between $235 -$260 USD round trip. The last time I booked the ticket I booked it thru the agent that is right next to Eastiny Place Hotel on Soi 8. A website or email won't do you any good. They quote the price for that same day in the office & you pay for it then. Go back tomorrow & you might get another price. Hope that helps, Mark

Hilly said the fishing is sparse?? Oh my lord...now he was on the boat and witnessed one hell of a battle as my friend tried to land her catch of the day. It all started after she'd sunk the line in the water and we were having a Tiger Beer. Sitting there relaxing & about 20 minutes later her pole nearly went overboard! She struggled to land this catch & I don't even recall how long the fight took to get this one out of the water. I can't believe she got this onboard.
