Whenever you're looking for a bit of 'normality' in these crazy times, this thread certainly is it lol. How long ago was it meant to be finished. Amazing Thailand!

True! They were mostly happy the got refunds (London to Bangkok flights) and also being able to rebook say for over Xmas at no extra cost, Thai waved the difference.

I 'follow' Thai Air on Facebook, promotions etc. Have to say, they have lots of plaudits from customers for their updates re Covid19 and disruption, and their refund Policy.

If the £ drops below 40 Baht, will you still come?

Yea, noticed that as well, and no doubt the intention of the Thai's in charge. -

Really Chris, whereabouts? I've booked us for 2 weeks in Ichmeler next year, and yes, I went and bought £600 worth of Lira from Tesco last week, got 8.2 I joined a couple of Ichmeler Facebook groups to get some general info about the place, although it was recommended by a few people I've never been in Turkey before. Inflation is very high, like 15%, has been for a while, though the general consensus was prices has not went up due to the Lira tanking. -
Not just for UK travellers, as in general the Baht is quite strong, though with the Brexit shenanigans, the £ is still dropping, and could quite easily go to 40 or under. If it did, would you still consider Thailand good value for money, would it impact you in how many times or length of trip? When I started coming it was 70, so relative to me, It costs me quite a bit more. I also somehow have this mental block where I always equate it to 50, or hope for 50, some chance at present. Accommodation is still really cheap, ladies too I suppose ( I don't indulge now, except with my

Love the Oishi buffet, lots of choice, decent price. -
Seems nothing much has changed then? My booking for January is still fine as far as i know.

It's not bad, not great, but not bad. Shower and toilet in the same 'space' if i remember right. Also, lots of 'working girls' live in the soi going down the right of it.

Yea, i was on the medication for years, but it got worse, as in waking me up at night with reflux, so went ahead with the OP. Very glad i did, a spicy beef krapow just ate half an hour ago, it's 7pm in the UK, no way could I have did that before.

New rules being enforced or just unlucky guys?.
Irish boy replied to Butch's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Been stopped a few times on a bike, every time was asked for the International Licence. Always had it, costs £5 to get in the UK at Post Office. -
Had a hiatus hernia op last year. Great success, i love spicy food, so was murder with the reflux, even waking me up at night. Keyhole. Understand the OP is talking about a different hernia, though I would still say get it repaired.

Do you Book direct or through a Travel Agent?
Irish boy replied to Butch's topic in Airline Discussion
Use Skyscanner, book direct flights. Last two times booked, got for under £500, which is cheaper than when I started coming to Thailand about 15 years ago. -
Yes Baz, if there's money involved, could make things happen. Though just read an article about Airbnb being quite proactive in Denmark, where they have agreed to let the Danish Gov know as their hosts rent out the places, so tax can be collected. They seem to think this will get rolled out elsewhere to 'deal' with the tax issue.

Possibly, though the previous 'Court Ruling' from Hua Hin waa something to do with condo's, and got ignored. Can't remember exactly what it was. Anyway, I'm booked up for VT6 via airbnb for next trip, can update they cancelled, but not holding my breath ...
-
Seen that, Hua Hin, they have previous for Court Orders that get ignored everywhere else. Doubt much will change. Prostitution is illegal to.

Mostly yes, only ever used Thai once. Was going to again, what with the new planes. But I do the 9pm flight, and read here they reverted back to the older ones. Probably just stay with EVA, always cheaper, and i find them fine.

Just back from here, great selection, wfe was delighted they had hot pot as well lol. Will be back, definitely good value, was busy, but not packed, never had to wait on anything. -
Was gonna try Thai again for the 9pm flight, but if same old planes as before, I'll stick with EVA, cheaper as well.

Flew with them yesterday, were fine. Only 3 seat sections, and we had an extra one, as no one sitting beside us.
