    Don't know why you feel embarrassed as I found my last two trips there to be quite good. Going to old haunts like the Pink Panther, Kiss and of course some Kings group bars. I found the Kings group bars to be quite shitty compared to others. I was impressed with Bada Bing. Back in the day, the Executive Lounge and especially the Crown Royal where massive expat hang outs but have since changed. Executive lounge isn't even there anymore.     These are the variations of problems in a nutshell. I've experienced them over the years but I am lucky I have the luxury of using multiple computers most of the time. With that said, Chrome works on at least one system. Firefox is the best alternative IMHO if Chrome is not behaving. Also, Chrome could be misbehaving due to certain extensions you might have installed.     Excellent review as usual Evil and pretty spot on in my opinion. However, I will inject the fact they have a great All You Can Eat salad bar for only 199 baht which is well worth it during lunch. The steaks themselves are not worth it in my opinion, I prefer Beefeaters for that in Pattaya. The new El Goucho's in Bangkok has the best steak in Thailand that I have eaten in a while. I used to think the Rib Room at the Landmark Hotel near Nana plaza was the best until I tried El Goucho's which is on Soi 19 Sukhumvit.

    I have to agree with Evil here, I took my Filipina gf up there on the 34th and it has a stunning view. We got the huge Mai Tai for 800 Baht which is approximately 6 drinks in one, excellent value I thought. Another good place is Mantra for romantic dinners but be prepared to spend some cash. I also agree with Ruen Thai Here's some nighttime photos from Horizon: I know the photos aren't too good but they do give you an idea. Cheers!

    I've never had a problem either on Beach Road and I normally walk the entire distance from Soi 7. Sometimes it is after 2 am. There is certainly some interesting activity going on out there but I'm never had an issue. Occasionally you will see an obvious questionable character or characters (mostly ladybodys) which is easily avoided by moving on quickly. Personally, I avoid anything on Beach Road.

    I I hate the 3 month historical statements online as well but I guess it's better than nothing. Siam Commercial gives you 6 months. I have both a business and savings account at both banks and updating the passbook gives you every single transaction, even if the bank book hasn't been updated in a while. I just did it with my personal savings account as it hadn't been updated since Febuary 2013. Depending on the amount of transactions you have made, you might want to go to the branch you opened your account along with you passport as they will issue you a new bank book if you run o

    Of course there are several better deals around town and that particular guide is a bit dated and doesn't even mention the Hilton buffet, of which I was quite surprised. That's one of my personal favorites. The only comparison regarding a Mexican buffet which I tried was a Beefeaters and its on Saturdays and Sundays http://www.beefeaterpattaya.com/mexican-buffet/ It does not include a free margarita and if memory serves me right, it's 295 baht so our pricing is certainly not out of line as we include a free margarita or local drink of your choice.
