or cheaper food, accommodation and beer.

It would be much cheaper for me to retire and live in Thailand than to live in my home country. Not sure I would do that as I love living in Australia but certainly good to know that there are at least options (financially) of countries where I could go afford to live. Not sure my liver would hold out too long if I lived in Pattaya though :)

Sounds good thanks for the info. -
Bottled water for me as well. It's cheap so I don't take the chance of getting sick for the sake of a dollar or two.

Not really, I don't think he was given the name Pele by his parents, that was his nickname. But even though it is the name of a cool goddess of fire and lightning and dance, it does seem an appropriate irony.

It is their culture and while I don't like it myself I think they have every right to practice it. Many cultures have what I consider cruel practices that have been traditionally handed down.

Now that is funny, numerous changes to spelling english words have come about as americans have trouble with the correct spelling

I wouldn't say we use the word whingeing more than other countries but we do spell it with an "e" - no idea why other than that is what is in our aussie dictionaries and when we were at school we would have got marked down on it if we didn't. We do use it a lot to precede the word pom especially so when the ashes tests are on Australia is huge geographically so a lot of slang/local words and ways of speaking are very different depending where you are in australia. Where I grew up having a fag was a darb, shorts were daks, flip flops were thongs and an idiot was a dag. But I was a banana

saw this on tv the other day she is incredible. On the same report they had an 8 yr old self taught painter in England who has already had a gallery do a night just of his paintings and sold them out in half an hour. There are 1,000 people on a waiting list for one of his paintings. Two amazing kids.

Hotels and guest house visitor reporting
Tarl replied to MM's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Sounds simple to report and doesn't seem a big deal to me. I always let people back home know where I am staying anyway and with your passport and ticket they know when you leave, where you are going and when you coem back. -
My favourite product, my guess would be you apply it up there!!!!! After that your not game to drop one or you'd feel like an afterburner on a jet fighter
