Gee memories are pretty short, I think Australia won the 1st test pretty easily so not too depressed yet. Batting is a major concern but after 5-0 in the last ashes aussie home series it won't make much difference it will probably be 5 zip again :)

Australia ended up winning by 150 runs with Marcus North taking 6 - 55. Really good win but does overshadow that the batting order was pretty disappointing in both innings with the exception of Katich (man of the match) and that the two main strike bowlers Bollinger and Johnson took just 3 wickets between them all in the first innings.

Bit harsh on the aussie boys, long way to go yet. Wicket was doing a bit so will be interesting to see how Pakistan go if we bowl well. 230 is not a bad score if the other team can only manage 180 :)

Seems to be based on whatever is the major sport in the region you are in - as mentioned in Australia it depends what state your are in as to what sport is being referred to when someone says football. Since soccer is a relatively minor sport here no one refers to it as football.
