You couldn't be more wrong.It's one of the better bargains in Pattaya. The have a tuk tuk,not a bus and it takes you to 2nd Rd or Soi Buckaroo(lol) or they will pick you up. The elevatoe DOES NOT take you to every floor unless a wanker pushes all the buttons. The standard rooms are not small or expensive. Breakfast is free with a choice of English or Thai food. Next........ Wifi is great as are the 2 computers in the lobby. What's a "Maine" road? Oh,it's a rudd in maine-I forgot! Do us all a favor and don't visit PBR again.I enjoyed my 2 weeks there in June. I was in room 415-nearest the construction-and it was NEVER an issue. Did I mention the low season rate is 999 and the 7th night is free?

There are cheap flts between LAS and LAX. I just flew NW between NRT and BKK in June and all but the purser were HOT! And we arrived early by a bit on both flights.Maybe things will change a bit at NW when my former company completes it's buyout by year end.

I'm in Merida for 3 more weeks before I move to Jomtien in Sep.There are several good restaurants here. All kidding aside,I'll need a Mexfix every week after I move. If you want BAD nachos,visit the Hard Rock near Narita.They START at USD 17.50 and add USD 2 for guacamole.Wasn't enough for 1 person.along with the $5 soda and iced tea or $8 beer,I was disappointed. I hope the Mexican is better than the burgers.I had a very average burger during my 1 visit to Bob's in June. Maybe I'll try the ribs when I move to Jomtien in Sep. YMMV

Internet was excellent for my 2 week stay in June with the exception of 1 morning and mgmt circulated a letter stating the problem to each room.2 computers in lobby for guest use too.

I have USD1550 a month to live on when I come in September.I have rented a condo in Jomtiem for 19k baht and will make do with what is left after that.Yes-IT IS DOO-able! If I found something for 6k(unlikely) I would be living the high life. If you find you can't do it on 1500-make an adjustment.At least you tried which is more than the other 99% of Americans.

I realize there are no awards for numbers of posts,but mine was roughly 247 yesterday(but who's counting), nor do I intend to post 10-20 times a day like some.I have been active recently asking questions since my return next week will be my 1st in over 20 years. In my case,I believe the number of posts that disappeared was roughly 130. And my move next April will see more questions and comments also.
