  1. That is one really shite movie!!!!! Tom Hanks
  2. Are you talking about those Thai chicken skewers? Those ones that are sat in a tray of their own tepid juices, that have been left out on a fairly warm/hot tray so they have been part-cooking in their own juices? The same ones that have flies and god only knows what else on them for the best part of 8-10 hours? The ones that have had all sorts of weird and unhygienic people touching them and then putting them back down because they now don't want them? Good luck with that, i think you might need it!
  3. If you like Bonsai, i have about another 25 photos of different tree's that the old girls were pruning and looking after.
  4. I think most check-in staff at LHR are from some ground handling agency, so generally they couldnt give a shit about you or me. I think Cathy have about 7 or 8 departures a day, so it makes sense to have their own ground staff.
  5. Rock'n'Rolla
  6. Website looks good, as do the rooms. Quite fancy one of your deluxe rooms for a stay in October, i'll PM you. Not quite sure about your taxi service though. 1800 Baht airport pick-up!!!

  10. No, you are not mistaken. I am still in Osaka, but came across this fantastic little traditional English tea shop in the middle of town. Didnt expect to see this, so stopped in for afternoon tea and scones, and what a great decision that was that i made. Well worth it and glad i stopped by.................................................. All this for the great sum of YEN 1200, that's roughly £7............................................. A sign that this place is very popular with the locals, is the Q to get in. I Q'ed for just short of an hour, and when i left, the Q was even longer to get in. The place was full of the creme de le creme of Osaka high society, posh ladies and pearl necklaces everywhere...............................
  11. Absolutely beautiful city, with so much to see and do, as well as the bright lights of Dontonbori, the city is well worth a look whilst your in Japan. Water skiing at 10m........................................ Itami Airport, not too far from the centre and still within the city limits............................... Padlocks are BIG business in Asia, everywhere you go, there they are.................................. Castles, they are everywhere in Japan. If anyone has an interest in them, let me know and i'll do another photo thread on them consisting of Osaka castle, Hiroshima castle, Himeji castle and Tokyo............... Love this building. Who would build a motorway through a building???........................................... Google the name of this company, and you will find that they have a very dark history during WW2.................................
  12. Phil, your 5 days too early for me mate, but i'll catch up with you when i get there. I expect to see you serving food in the near future............................................. LOL
  13. Was he credited with the part? Sounds like a google search.
  14. That poster has lived here long enough now to know how to spell the name of the lake!
  15. There is a very interesting story behind this dog..........................................
  16. Night rider, no idea where you get this answer from, but he was never in this movie!! So, I will go with Geoffrey Palmer.
  17. Yeah, that's a cracking photo. Wasn't so sure I was looking at the building correctly when I first saw it. It's one hell of a design.
  18. These are all the other photos of Seoul that I haven't had the chance to get to post. Seoul is a beautiful city and well worth a visit if you are ever out this way in Asia.
  19. JMSDF Kure Museum is located at, you guessed it, Kure, which is just a short train ride up the coast from the city of Hiroshima. The museum is dedicated to the art of Mine sweeping, and especially the part that the Japanese Navy has played since the end of WW2. Also, they have a fantastic section dedicated to Submarine's, and they have a real life, bloody huge submarine in the grounds that you can visit and walk around. The museum is run by the JMSDF(Japanese Maritime Self defence Force), and is free, no charge whatsoever to visit, but they do take donations. They have a coffee shop, run by the 2 sweetest Japanese grannies(who speak English) that you would wish to meet, and they do a mean cup of coffee and danish too! You wouldn't want to change these batteries too often!!!.................................. Its an interesting insight into the lives that the submariners lead under the waves. Not sure I could do this myself, too tight and cramped.........................
