  1. Visited Chatuchak weekend market a few months back. Its an interesting place to visit, full of strange sights and some nice and some not so nice smells. Be warned it is bloody hot inside this market, and carri=ying a bottle of water all the time is a must. Don't underestimate the photos, this market is RAMMED full of people, mainly Thai's with a few farang mixed in. Its a very easy place to find. Take the BTS to Morchit station, down the stairs and just follow the throng of people. If you cant stand crowds, this is not the place for you.
  2. I've got a Wat Arun photo thread to follow soon. As for been a pro, shit, you make me laugh papillon. Purely amateur mate.
  3. No worries Forny, more photos to follow soon..............
  4. Photos taken during June 2013 this year. River cruisin' is not for everyone it seems..............
  5. BMW Welt, located at the Olympic Park in Munich, showcases everything BMW and BMW related. RollsRoyce and Mini are well represented here in this place. Admission is free to the BMW World, not sure about the muesuem, but I have been told it is free also. Its well worth the visit if you have at least a passing interest in these cars.
  6. Cheers Sam, and happy birthday yourself, even though you have a few more years on you than I do.
  7. The stadium, as well as the park itself, has to be one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Built for the 1972 Olympic games,(and will forever more be remembered for something completely different), it was considered space age and ahead of its time. Interesting fact, the hilly nature of this park is due to the fact that it has been built on all the old ruins and rubble of destroyed buildings from WW2. As the day I visited here (3rd August) was my birthday, it was expected of me to stop off for a beer or 2..................
  8. A reconstructed prison hut and insides. The entrance way to the Gas chamber's and crematoria. The "ovens". The "shower room"!!
  9. Recently visited Munich for a long weekend last week. Whilst it was quite hot (37.4oC), it was still pleasant enough to get out and about around the Munich area. So what to do? Decided on visiting Dachau and the camp for the morning. Its a very sombre and quiet place, and can be quite disturbing to some, but it shows the true horrors suffered by a race for no other reason than a certain person didn't like them. Dachau is situated around 10 miles NW of Munich, and is very easy to reach by train, taking around 15 mins on the S-Bahn. Once at the station, its another short ride on a bus this time(723?) and drops you off right outside the vistors centre. Admission is free. Tours are organised every couple of hours if you need it, otherwise its quite a simple place to walk around by yourself. The entrance. Vistor centre. Map of the camp/s as it was during WW2. The former camp commandant's house. What's left of the train tracks and platforms. The camp main entrance way. Arbeit Macht Frei....... "Work brings freedom" The bath house area for the newly arrived prisoners. The prison block. Just about the only colour you will see in the camp.
  10. On the 5th floor of the Nature View Hotel. Im not that curious to get THAT close to them.
  11. Went to one of their games about 4 years ago, had a right laugh. Ground was at max capacity, everyone having a great time. Played against Muang Thong and only just lost the game in a very closely fought battle for the points.
  12. The "Monkey Trail", is a wooden pathway over the headland connecting Ao Nang with Phai Plong Bay. Its not the safest path after its been raining, as it gets all slippery from the rain. But, it is a beautiful walk and will take you around 20-25 mins to complete(each way). Cant say I actually saw any monkey's, but did hear them screeching away in the tree's.
  13. Nope, I presume the virgins I sacrificed were not actually virgins!!!!! Had 5 nights in Ao Nang, and also had 5 days of rain. Nevermind, still enjoyed myself though.
  14. Centara Grand Beach Resort, set out in its own grounds and beach. Infact its so secluded, the only way to get there, is to cross over the headland on a path which is locally known as "Monkey Trail"( Not really to be attempted when the trail is wet or it is raining. I did the trail whilst chucking it down with rain). Apart from that, guests have to wait and take a boat from Ao Nang to this resort. They do allow us mere mortals to walk around their grounds if you so desire, but you have to sign in at the security guy at his hut, at the start of the trail. Have no idea of the prices to stay here, but I would of thought considering its location, its quite pricey.
  15. The fleet size on one of those airlines is wrong??
  16. Just a few photos of the (limited) night life options in Ao Nang. I swear I took more photos, but these are the only one's I can find. Sorry about that. Most of the nightlife in centred around the Centre Point complex, which is located on the Beach Road just past Burger King. The complex consists of around 8-9 bars on the upper level, which have barfineable girls, and on the ground floor of about 6-7 bars, which are more chill out bars for a quiet drink or 5. Sorry, no idea about barfine prices or girl prices. The other place is Soi RCA, located opposite McDonalds on the main road. Its a small soi consisting of about 12-15 beers bars. Be aware, that down this soi, every bar seems to have a resident LB or 3. There seems to be a very high number of LB's on this soi. Barfine's from the 3 bars I BF'ed from were 300 barfine, and 1000 baht money for the girl(LT). Once paid 1500 for the last BF, but that was money seriously well earnt!! No freelancer scene at all. I say no scene, but at 4am on my last night, I was accosted by a LB on her bike,(by 3 different lady and "ladies") who tried to get me to go with her for 100 baht. Be aware!!!!!
  17. A couple of weeks ago, I flew down to Krabi, but never realised just how close to the East coast and Pattaya the flight actually got. I was a little slow get the camera out, but I did manage to get a few photos for you to enjoy.
  18. Did you manage to take any photos of the room?
  19. Cheers guys. More to follow shortly.
