  1. Taken on Monday evening just gone. I took these photos on my iPhone, so the quality is not quite there, but they don't look too bad. Its quite an impressive take off from Clark airfield in Angeles, and to top it off, a beautiful sunset as well.
  2. Never stayed at the hotel Vista before so I can't comment, but have stayed twice at the Discovery beach hotel. Below is a hotel review and photos that I did about a year ago. http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/topic/57004-pattaya-discovery-beach-hotel-pattaya/
  3. The departure gate is always a depressing sight to me, especially when you now you have to be up and out of the hotel at 05.00am for your flight back home at 08.30am. Taken June 2013. t%202/DSCN1109_zps3dbe825f.jpg[/url]
  4. Is there any more of a depressing site in the world other than the check-in area of Swampy? Finally, the observation deck on landside seem's to be open to the public at last. Other times I have tried to access this area, ive never got any higher than the top of the escalator, but this time you can now make it to the top. Not really a lot up there though, apart from a view of the flight apron, the post office/CAT office, and a model of the entire airport complex and perimeter. Photos taken June 2013.
  5. Yes, but unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the food, but it was good!!!!
  6. Not quite sure what the food festival was in aid off, but it did seem to be well attended by Thai's, with very few falangs. If the Thai's are eating there, then the food must be good! Photos taken back in June 2013. Only just got around to posting these now.
  7. Most cities yes, but just not in Munich though!
  8. Cheers mate.
  9. Munich city centre at night is a beautiful sight, and especially as it was 28oC this night that I was wandering around. The beer and food went down well that night.
  10. That would be a good start, yes!
  11. Welcome to another board PM2K. Lets give P a kick up the ass!!
  12. Krabi International airport, not the biggest airport in Thailand, but certainly not the smallest that ive been through in LoS. Airport consists of 2 terminals, with terminal 2 being the terminal for THAI, THAI Smile, Bangkok Airways and Air Asia departures, but strangely, only Bangkok Air passengers check in in this terminal, and everyone else has to check in in T1, but luckily there is a covered walk way between the 2 terminals. Landside of both terminal's consist of the usual coffee shops and knick knack tourist shops. Black Canyon(I think that's the one) has free wifi, and an outdoor area for smokers. Airside of T2 consists of nothing but 1 Black Canyon coffee shop, and that is it, but it does do a good line in takeaway Mama pot noodles though. Taxis out if the airport to the main tourist areas, mainly Ao Nang, costs 500 baht. Taxi desk straight infront of the arrivals area in T2.
  13. Victory Monument and the surrounding roundabout. Photos taken June 2013. And for people who didn't know just how close Victory Monument is to the Expressway, the cars in the middle of this photo are on the actual Expressway..................
  14. Life of an airport: Abu Dhabi. Whilst waiting for my (delayed) flight back to LHR, I was just bored really and just decided to watch all the activity around our aircraft that was being prepared for flight, so took a few photos of these guys hard at work, in very hot conditions.
  15. What goes around, comes around. Good advert. Would never of guessed it was True though!
  16. I'm booked to fly to Clark with Emirates on the 5th October. I'll let you know what the service is like.
  17. Just been looking on www.kayak.co.uk, flights to Clark from LHR are coming up at £513 for November. Minimum transfer times in Dubai, and excellent arrival and departure times from Clark. That may be too good an offer to turn away. http://www.kayak.co.uk/flights#/LHR-CRK/2013-11-03/2013-11-18 Anyone going to be in AC beginning of November?
  18. Waiting for the wonder.............
  19. The food photos were taken at the river boat station. The amount of stalls there only amount to about 50 meters of stalls. Make no mistake about it, all those Buddha amulet stalls cover nearly the best part of 2 miles of walkway around the outer walls of the Palace. I have more photos of these stalls, but they are not the best quality shots.
  20. This must be the biggest market ive ever seen in Thailand dedicated to selling just one thing, Buddha amulets. It seems to follow the road all along the river around the Grand Palace/Wat Po area, and must stretch for at least 1.5 miles in length.
  21. A beautiful temple and grounds, set alongside the river in Bangkok, and just across the river from the Grand Palace and Wat Po.
  22. Dawin is a hell of a lot better hotel than the Woraburi. Woraburi may be guest friendly, but they will charge you for a 2nd guest. The cheaper rooms are dirty, and 4 years ago definitely had a cockroache problem in at least 2 rooms(that I stayed in). Try the city lodge on Soi 9.
  23. She needs a haircut Baz. Nice looking place, beyond my pay scale though. I would be interested to know what the bakery was like. Also if the night club actually had any club bets in it at any time??
  24. Nope, not retired. I'm only 39. Mostly I enjoy getting out and about when I'm away, and also enjoy a little bit of photography.
