  1. Speed.
  2. The last castle
  3. Tom cruise.
  4. Terminator 2
  5. Hahaha yes, looking at it now, could well of bee a durian. There were a number of these Puffer fish dead along the beach. Are these fish deadly to touch? I never realised that they were to be found in these waters.
  6. The pier, where everyone who goes to Boracay has to start their adventure to the island from.......
  7. Bulabag beach on the other side of the island, is meant to be mainly kite surfing, as this is the side of the island that the winds hit first. Its a very narrow beach, and on this day was full of seaweed and other debris that had washed ashore. It doesn't strike me a beach where you could happily sunbath all day long, bit there are a number of high end guesthouses and hotels and resorts on this beach. Anyone know what this fish is called???
  8. Diniwid Beach, just north of White Beach......
  9. A couple of weeks ago, I flew down to Boracay from Angeles, and spent 7 days in the sun. During the whole time, it only rained once, on and off for 2 hours, and that was the only rain I saw. These are just some of the photos of this beautiful island called Boracay................... Part 1. Not too far from home for some people.......
  10. I ended up staying at the La Teresita hotel, twice!
  11. Just a few photos taken during the daytime. As people have said before, there is nothing to do during the daytime, except maybe going to the Mall, but how many times can you do that during your stay.?
  12. Just a few photos from White Beach on Boracay, a couple of weeks ago.
  13. Yeah your right. I would of preferred a TV in the bedroom, but its not the end of the world. The "sofa" was actually quite comfortable. There is a bolted down room safe in the wardrobe, big enough for the usual camera/money/wallet/iPad. There is a security that sits out front by reception all night long. Midnight, 1am, 3am, and even 5.30am, that guy was still awake at these times when I was coming home. He even walked me down to a good restaurant on the beach path at 1am(after I arrived at the hotel on the stroke of midnight) on the night I arrived.
  14. The Greenyard Inn, located in the area of Station 3 on White Beach on Boracay Island. The hotel is sat back slightly from the beach, and in a small local residential area, where the locals are very friendly. On 1 night, they invited me to gamble and play cards with them, but as I had no idea what the game actually was, I declined. Even declining, they still supplied me with beer and rum, and wouldn't take a single peso for it. A number of local house shops and eating places in the local vincinity. The hotel is built over 5 floors I think, and was only renovated 1 year ago. It used to be known as Dive Guru's Annexe last year, but its changed names now, but is still owned and operated by Dive Guru's though. I booked this hotel through Agoda. Think I must of got a good deal, as I paid £190 for my 7 night stay, and breakfast was included. Choice of a flipper breakkie, American or contintenal style. Flat screen TV with all the usual English language channels. Wifi is free and seemingly steady, biut for some strange reason the internet speed got quicker on the stroke of midnight. They is a kitchen attached at the back of the room, fully equipped with plates, cups, cutley, pots and pans, and gas for the stove. The room itself is VERY big with plenty of space for moving around in. Bathroom was ok, with a good supply of hot water and with a constant water pressure. These are the photos of the grounds and my room, which was room 4. Seems that all the rooms are slightly different in layout styles though. The entrance way to the hotel............. There have a nice courtyard area, covered in plants and greenery. Very relaxing.................... The veranda area to the room. All rooms seem to have this area, and this is where they will serve your breakfast too..........
  15. La Teresita Hotel, Angeles City, is located on Elisa Street, and maybe a 7-8 min walk to Walking street, or Fields Ave, whatever you prefer to call it. It is a 4 floor hotel, located in a quiet residential area. When I booked this hotel and mentioned it on the boards, I was advised that it was located in a locals living area, and not ideal to stay in, but, I have to say that the walk from Fields and back again, I had no problems whatsoever with the dimly lit roads or with any of the locals, in fact I felt quite safe, and its safe to say that I will stay here again next year when I get back to Angeles. The photos of my room are of the Deluxe room, priced at P1450 a night. There is a fridge filled with mini bar drinks, and 2 free bottles of water, but they are the only free water you will see during your stay. Free wifi, checked the speed at 5meg, which seems to be faster than quite a few other hotels internet. Flat screen TV, 100+ channels with many English language channels and movies. Hot water available in the bathroom, but on the odd occasion, the water pressure did go high and low a couple of times. Large wardrobe, with (bolted down) safe, big enough for your camera/phone/money/iPad. No problems bringing 2 girls back to your room. Reception didn't ask for any ID's or anything, but they did call the room every time the girl left to check everything was ok. Reception always seemed to be staffed by at least 4 girls behind the counter, and a armed guard during the day, and 2 armed guards at night. The door was always locked, but opened by the guard before I made it up the stairs to the door. There is a bar and restaurant here, but I tried the food on my first day, and I didn't go back again. Maybe the flippers just don't know how to make a good Spag Bol, but im sure making it taste like a bag of red coloured sugar syrup is not the ideal way. All in all, a good little hotel, very reasonably priced and worth the money. Its worth a 4 out of 5 stars.
  16. Maybe take a look at the Nature View Hotel, just down the road from the Sutus court. I think ive got a review thread of the hotel on here somewhere.
  17. On my recent Emirates flight from Dubai to Angeles, we flew straight over the province of Hong Kong. I can only presume that because of the typhoon that was hitting Bangledesh and India at the time, we took a detour skirting all the way along the Himalaya mountains, Northern Burma into China, and then turning south near to Sichuan and straight down over Guangdong and Hong Kong and then onto Angeles.
