Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Suvarnabhumi airport website...
cybers1b replied to Owl_'s topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
while it has nice information - its not the official website - the official website is supposed to be http://www.suvarnabhumiairport.com/ but is currently beeing rebuilt for the opening (until recently it had the project status and such things on) you will find the link at http://www.airportthai.co.th/ when its time cheers cyber -
It all depends on how you want to live - you can get a nice room for 350 Baht if you are not too picky - or you can get rooms for thousands of Bahts - I would try to go through the Hotel reviews and use the search function. The current exchange rate for USD is 37.52000 baht per USD for 50 and 100 Dollar Bills (no Bills of the 1993 or 1996 Series are accepted anywhere). Change at any of the Major banks Exchange Boots. Its rainy now and the forecast for the next days is also for more rain. As for girls - No bargirl discussions in teh open form... cheers cyber

Belgian in Pattaya, hmmmmmmmmm
cybers1b replied to Rodger's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
you wont find an international school with some standard for that price - think in terms of 250,000 tp 500,000 a year per kid depending on the age. also, most international schools will ask for a more or less high entry fee. check out these two as an example (in the pattaya area) http://www.regents.ac.th http://www.isppataya.com (when you see prices per terms keep in mind that teh school year in Thailand has 3 terms) and you can look for others from the International School Association of Thailand: http://www.isat.or.th cheers cyber -
hmmmm - just right click the link and chose "save Target as" - works for me - so not a problem of the links cheers cyber

Its quite a bit- there are equally good and much cheaper services from various IPSs - TOT is not known for quality at least not in Bangkok But I used to work for a major competitor of TOT in Bangkok so I may not be the person to ask cheers cyber

Almost all 7elevens provide so called "Counter Service" where you can pay most bills like water, electricity, phone and even credit card bills.... Pay Point is a similar payment service at any JayMart You can also pay most of these bills at any Thai Post office with "Pay at Post" service. Usually you see the payment options on the back of the Bill (at least in Bangkok) or somewhere at the website of the company. cheers cyber

The legal situation about online business in Thailand is unclear at the best. BUT - you MAY need to apply for a work permit and that of course requires a company for which you work. Consult a lawyer about this to be sure - dont rely on answers to such questions on a message board if you want reliable, up to date and competent information. Now, many members have a lot of knowledge about such things but I know only of one who is involved in legal services in Thailand, thats my point. cheers cyber

It seems like my long ago guess that it will be around early 2007 before teh Airport can go into operation turns out to be right Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi airport seven months from completion BANGKOK, March 3 (TNA) - It will take at least seven months to give the finishing touches to the Thai capital's new Suvarnabhumi airport, Deputy Transport Minister Chainant Charoensiri said Monday. It is impossible for the Suvarnabhumi airport to be opened commercially in June as earlier scheduled as an added seven months is still needed for testing systems and to complete unfinished work su

That's correct - only, if you are not in Pattaya - you have to go tot he district office under which jurisdiction the hospital falls. Pretty easy and fast. Make sure you bring along your original passport and that your Visa is up to date That is if you want your name written in teh Birth Certificate as father - Can be essential when applying for citizenship for your son/daughter at your embassy. cheers cyber

If you do not have a non immigrant visa, work permit, and job in Thailand - I don't think that there is a way to get a martage for a condo from a Bank in Thailand, at least that was the situation in recent years. And a condo is the only thing that you can legally own in Thailand as a foreigner anyway. Also, condo prices in Bangok are rather insane at the moment anyway, at least for new developments. IMO, if you do not plan to live in the place you buy and if you do not intend to rent it out - and also, if you do not have enough money to easly afford it without a mortage - it does not make sens

RG = Residence Garden - it's a place to stay. See here for example. http://pattaya-hotelrooms.com/TheResidenceGarden/ You can get a special rate via this website cheers cyber -
The only Pattaya Garden Hotel that I know is at Naklua, quite a way from beach road. Is that the one you mean? I have stayed there once a very long time ago and there have bee no issues with guests back then, but that was in 1997. Back then, it was rather nice, with nice staff. Hey have (or at least had) 2 Pools, one at the main building and one outside wher the Bungalows are. I stayed at one of the Bungalows and so I had not even to walk past the reception when i came home with a girl. The reception is (or used to be) insude the main building. We had more then one "Pool Parties" in th

What kind of insurance do you want? Just for your holliday? Or do you want to live here? Different things. If you live here, I was always happy with BUPA - http://www.bupathailand.com premiums depend on the chosen plan and your age of course. BUPA has a new plan called "Sunshine Plan" especially for foreigners who stay up to 6 months in Thailand. They do have a representative in Pattaya: Khun Kamolthat Soonthornsarathool Tel: 0-3837-0880-3 pattaya@bupa.co.th Here are details for their Sunshine Plan: http://www.bupathailand.com/sunshine.asp cheers cyber

sai tai bus station to pattaya
cybers1b replied to Elbow's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
There are plenty of public Buses to catch from the Sai Tai Mai Terminal if needed (see http://www.bmta.co.th/engversion/eng_version.htm for more info), but the Taxi would be the most convinient way, you could at least take a Taxi to the nearest BTS station which would be either Phaya Thai, National Stadium or Ratchatevi I guess. Sai Tai Mai is not so far from the Prah Pinklao Bridge. The BTS extension to Thonburi (Taksin Road) was finally aproved, actually the stricture if finished already, now they have to build the stations and the tracks. cheers cyber
