I would recommend staying in Pattaya, all the action is there, even though there are bars in Jomtien. hi - u can check out Malaysian Airlines - they have offers from VIE from about 580 Euro - Austrian Airlines usually is around 700 Euro. doolish - what was your problem with Austrian, I travel with Austrian for all my visits home (I live in Bangkok) and never had reason to complain, in fact there are always amongst the top 3 in any halfway competent Travellers Magazine in terms of service, in flight entertainment and esoecially food. and the new 777 they use for the VIE-BKK service are rather comfortable even in Economy Class

when going to korat, be careful with your hotels, the hotels there tend to collapse

As far as proove pf support is concerned, you will indeed need tpo provide details on your montly income, the embassy will do a check on your name i terms of creditworthiness. A one wat ticket is the best way to ensure that she does NOT get a visa, she must hold a valid return ticket. It does in fact not matter at all if she is a Bargirl or not. A friend of mine tried to bring his long time girlfriend to Austria for a short holliday. Since he has no property or links to Austria at all anymore, the Visa was denied. This girl holds a Masters Degree and has a good enough paid job but that was not enough to convince the consular section of the Embassy that she surely does not want to stay in Austria illegaly. I have heard that UK regulations are even more strict then Austrian even though I can not personally confirm that.

hi, anyone who recently stayed at the Sawasdee Pattaya Mansion in Soi Diana Inn? I found no review at all - used to stay there a couple of times when it was new - don't know about now - i would like to recommend it to a friend who will be in pattaya for a few days but I want to know the current status first - so if anyone has an opinion on the place - let me know

There are to Explorer Internet Cafes - one on Beach Road near Soi 11 (that one is open 24 hours) and one in the Royal Garden Plaza on 1st floor - last shop on the left on the Beachroad side - they are quite fast and offer good service - the one in Royal has some excellent coffee too

Omni has ADSL available for 1600 Baht a month - you can also negotiate a rate for short term stays -
