  1. but to contribute something useful as well, i have not personally used air asia but some collegues have, and the stories have been all positive. they operate only one type of aircraft, boeing 737-300 - that keeps their cost down as they only have to keep spareparts for one type of aircraft as well as train their staff only on one type. they are a malaysian company, i think air asia was the first low cost carrier in asia. the 737-300 is, correct me if i am wrong, one of the most reliable aircrafts ever build and i think one of the best sold as well. as to their saftey record, no serious

  4. I would recommend staying in Pattaya, all the action is there, even though there are bars in Jomtien.   6. hi - u can check out Malaysian Airlines - they have offers from VIE from about 580 Euro - Austrian Airlines usually is around 700 Euro. doolish - what was your problem with Austrian, I travel with Austrian for all my visits home (I live in Bangkok) and never had reason to complain, in fact there are always amongst the top 3 in any halfway competent Travellers Magazine in terms of service, in flight entertainment and esoecially food. and the new 777 they use for the VIE-BKK service are rather comfortable even in Economy Class

  10. Omni Tower in soi 4 also has DSL in the rooms. om request they will hand you the DSL modem with either Ethernet or USB - Price used to be around 1000 Baht per month with no additional charges and speed is rather good.
  11. hi, anyone who recently stayed at the Sawasdee Pattaya Mansion in Soi Diana Inn? I found no review at all - used to stay there a couple of times when it was new - don't know about now - i would like to recommend it to a friend who will be in pattaya for a few days but I want to know the current status first - so if anyone has an opinion on the place - let me know

  15. There are to Explorer Internet Cafes - one on Beach Road near Soi 11 (that one is open 24 hours) and one in the Royal Garden Plaza on 1st floor - last shop on the left on the Beachroad side - they are quite fast and offer good service - the one in Royal has some excellent coffee too
