At one time France was an important player in the world scene. But now the country is just a joke and they are grabbing at straws. Couldn't happen to a nicer group of people. They need to grow up and face facts the English language is the language of the world. When I fly anywhere in the world the language used to talk with ATC and Airport Towers is English. That says a lot about the current state of the world.

Casper , I don't stay at the Lek I have been in the rooms and shot some photos but I prefer Soi 8 to the Lek. The hotel is better than it was. I can always get deals at the Eastiny Inn or the Flipper Lodge. The only downfall with these hotels for me is no morning buffet. Have not gone the condo route, several friends have units in Markland but I think it is to far from the action. Tight lines, Fishingtime

Things have change last year they opened a brand new wing to the hotel. New wing is not on Second Road but on the Soi. I got a email that the old wing is closed now and they are doing remolding during this low season.

I never had a problem and I shot four girls one night in the hotel. Was in the hotel in Oct my associate had 15 rooms and never a limited on the number of girls. Your information is old.

The rooms in the newer wing are very nice and the breakfast is great. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel worth try one morning.

Have you though about the RG Inn, the hotel that has a special rate for site members? It is a little to far from the action for me but the rooms are large and no guest problems.

The hotel is more or less a tour hotel. Most of the people staying at the hotel are part of a tour group. You can find better choices for hotels in Pattaya.

There is a big difference between a beer bars staying open on the slide and the bars being allowed to stay open until 4:00 in the morning. As far as I know the 4:00 closure is still under study.

If you plan upon taking lots of photos think about buying an image tank instead of the cards. That way you just download the card and use it over again. For the cost of a couple of memory cards you can purchase a three to five gig tank and store thousands of images. I have a 40-gig image tank but each picture I shoot is about 15 meg so I use a lot of space.

The Deluxe rooms in the older side of the hotel are much larger and have a second room that is a sitting room that is set up like a living room with a sofa, chair, coffee table, TV, and a desk. Also a small eating area off to the side.

Always pay with a credit card no problems ever. They do not take the Amex card, but Mastercard, Visa, and Discover are all welcome.

I agree with mrt about this hotel. The rooms are large and good to shoot photos in but the lighting is very poor in the rooms. No joiner fees they do take the girl's id, if she doesn't have one you must sign for her. Lobby is on second floor, hotel gets a lot of Asian tour groups. They even have a complete second lobby on a third floor but I don't think it is used anymore.

On NWA or Continental Airlines I have never had a problem using my FLM miles. Sometimes you need to play with the dates or go to unrestricted but no big deal. But also I am elite Platinum on both so I think they may handle my account a little different than most.

You could say the same thing about everything at the Hardrock, overpriced but you are getting what you paid for. Fishingtime

I have flown Eva before in Evergreen Deluxe and they do have that cabin and class on the MD11. It is smaller that the 747 and the 747 combi Deluxe class but the same seating. I remember it because on my first trip the in seat video screen was not working.

When it rains things flood, the drainage system is just very poor in most of Thailand. It is the rainy season now. No big deal it rains the water goes up and things flood, it stops raining and the goes down again. It is just part of life in Pattaya.

You can hire a speed boat for 1500 baht to take you to and from Kohlan Island, the other Islands would cost much more or just hire for the day. It takes about 30 minutes to go from Pattaya Beach to Kohlan Island.

The cost to hire a speed boat from the main Island is about the same as from Pattaya Beach. But it is more supply and demand because if things are busy you may not find a god deal. About landing fees sometimes their are none and it is all up to the owner of the beach. On Island that belong to the Kingdom no fee for landing. The water at the Islands is much cleaner than Pattaya Beach and is nice for swimming. Prices for most services are not fixed they are based on what you will pay and what the seller will take.
