  1. Hi, Good results for Airbus. Carbon tax is a nonsense that will have commercial consequences if it's not scrapped! http://www.bbc.co.uk...siness-17296523 Airbus owner EADS reports record deliveries European aerospace giant EADS has reported higher annual profits after delivering a record number of its Airbus aircraft to customers. The firm said reported net income of 1.03bn euros ($1.36bn; £836m) for 2011, up 87% from a year earlier. EADS delivered a record 534 commercial aircraft during the year. Shares in EADS rose nearly 10pc in early trading.
  2. Hi, Arsenal and Man Utd have excellent away wins as Chelsea implode. Tottenham prove not up to the task against Man Utd. BTW what have you against Andy ? Seems a nice lad and it ain't his fault someone paid so much for him.
  3. Part of North London is just sobering up after Arsenal hammer Spurs 5-2. Still little between the Manchester clubs. Giggs has been a good servant for United and grabs them a late winner against Norwich. Chelsea prove too good for Bolton but I feel some of the players are trying to get AVB sacked which is not very nice. West Brom have their best win of the season along with Fulham who beat close neighbours QPR.
  4. Hi, Must say Chisora put up a better fight against the other Klischko than Haye did. I'm sure being English gentlemen they'll sort out their differences over a cup of Earl Grey.
  5. Hi, A good weekend for Manchester and North London. Man Utd prove too good for Liverpool and Man City win a tough away game at Villa. Arsenal and Spurs have good wins while their challengers Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool all lose. West Brom win the derby against Wolves which means the end for McCarthy. Wigan and Blackburn win which gives their fans hope for the future.
  6. Hi, Close. At least you gave an opinion. Some Monday morning QB's on here at times.

    Capello

Hi, Harry has the right profile to manage the collection of scallies and toerags who make up the England side.
  8. Hi, An excelllent result for City at the weekend as United and Chelsea share the points. Arsenal have a great victory to give their fans some hope of a top 4 finish. City and Arsenal gain from draws by the other main players including Spurs and Liverpool. Newcastle keep in contention with a battling win against Villa. There is a distinct possibility that all 3 promoted sides will stay up this year which puts extra pressure on Wigan, Wolves and Bolton.

    FA Cup Thread .

Hi, Its unusual that Man Utd are out at this stage. Arsenal have a tough away leg to come. I had a small bet on Chelsea but they are not playing at their best at the moment. King Kenny seems to have the whip hand over the Manchester teams at the moment.
  10. Hi, A good weekend for Manchester as they do the double double on North London. Both games were close and could have swung either way. It now looks like a 2 horse race. Blackburn continue their good run with a point at Everton. Bolton surprise Liverpool who seem to have their eyes on their games against City and United. Sunderland have improved with a change of manager. O'Neill seems to have whatever it takes to manage footballers. Fulham hammer Newcastle in the 2nd half and QPR beat Wigan who will need all their skills to survive this time round. West Brom get a rare win at Stoke and Villa beat Wolves. Wolves have a fight for survival again this year.
  11. Hi, I'm glad the big guy is back to read this good news. Airbus sales soar above rival Boeing European aeroplane maker Airbus enjoyed a record year in 2011 and outsold its bitter rival Boeing by almost two-to-one. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/industry/9021492/Airbus-sales-soar-above-rival-Boeing.html The company said on Tuesday that it delivered 534 commercial aircraft and booked net orders for 1,419 planes worth $140bn (£91bn). The 2011 record for orders and deliveries beat the previous record of 510 deliveries, set in 2010, and 1,341 orders in 2007.
  12. Hi, Fans tell me the problem is the split ownership, American/Russian. Neither wants to invest in players when the other will benefit as well. I'm a big Wenger fan as I remember the 1-0 boring days. Never thought I would see Arsenal play such attractive football.
  13. Hi, I was impressed with Blackburn win with 10 men. Swansea played good football to beat Arsenal yesterday. They may have had a touch of luck with the penalty but I liked the way they played. Wigan played well against Chelsea and if they can reproduce that form they might run Man City close. Paul Lambert has done a great job at Norwich and I wouldn't mind him coming to Arsenal when Arsene decides to call it a day.
  14. Hi, Spurs are now 3 points + goal difference behind Man City and only GD behind Man Utd. It would make Harry's career if he could pull it off.
  15. Hi, See I missed that with your absence.
  16. Hi, I hope it's a cracking game. Both teams like to play good football but the pressure will be intense.
  17. Hi, At least the bugger is in commercial operation. Any news on the Nightmareliner ? It seems as absent as you've been.
  18. Hi, It depends how seriously they both take the game. City's main focus is the Premiership. United are out of Champions League so I think they will try hard to win the game. The odds on either aren't good enough for me but if I found £50 on the street I would put it on City. I think Fergie has been wrong to give Rooney a hard time. He should remember who has carried the team for the last few years.
  19. Hi, Fair enough. I had a little bet @ 4/1. What did you think of United's performance.
  20. Hi, No wonder joek calls me crystal balls.
  21. Hi, Kun Aguero settles the nerves for City with a great goal from outside the box. Ya Ya Toure looks a lot better playing for City than his Barcelona days. Can Newcastle cause a shock tonight?
  22. Hi, United fans must be upbeat because they haven't played that well but are still 2nd. City have looked vulnerable in the last month. Spurs are the surprise packet, playing good football and in with a shout. My money is on City and I haven't hedged.
  23. Hi, Good win for Liverpool as Newcastle continue to struggle with the teams around them in the league. It looks down to a 3 horse race now. Can Spurs shock the Manchester teams ?
  24. Hi, The Japanese and Chinese have reached an agreement which will mean they depend less on $ and €. I'd rather have some of the BGs best friend than either of those fiats. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/27/business/global/china-and-japan-in-currency-agreement.html China is the world’s second-largest economy while Japan is the third largest, and the currency agreement is part of a move away from using dollars. Chinese officials have said recently they would like to broaden the global use of the renminbi, also known as the yuan, and want to see more countries move away from relying on dollars as the worldwide currency. They hold the world’s largest foreign-currency reserves — China has about $3.2 trillion, while Japan holds $1.3 trillion — and any moves to reconstitute the makeup of those holdings could change the global currency map. “Chinese officials have made it clear that they believe the international economy is too heavily dominated by the dollar,” said Charles A. Kupchan, a professor of international affairs at Georgetown University and a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. “They believe, as part of China’s rise, that the international system should move to a more balanced structure.”
