Hi, Aguero has a splendid start to his career in the Prem. None of the usual top 4 impress in their games. Norwich grap a good away point. Hi, Hughton did a good job at the Toon so might get them back up. Stranger things have happened.

Another Premiership season about to get under way. Manchester City didn’t quite make it for me last season, after Chelsea won for me the previous year. Manchester United won well in the end and have added some new players who should strengthen their team. However Scholes has retired and Giggs can’t be getting any better at his age. King Kenny is back at Liverpool and he seems very popular with the pundits, so he should get some time to sort out a team which has underperformed for some time. He seems to be intent on buying British players, which I feel may help him in dealings with referees. Arsenal look likely to lose Fabregas, and possibly Nasri. They should have the money to replace them with good players . They seem to lack a few scrappers when the going gets tough and could struggle to stay in the top 4. Tottenham failed to stay in the top 4 after their Champions League commitments and are another London team who may struggle to make the top 4. Chelsea seem the best London team again and have a new manager, Villas Boas, who will be under the spotlight. He could prove as good as Mourinho, but with a more attractive football style. He could also be a flop! QPR, Norwich, and Swansea are the newcomers and I hope their supporters enjoy their time in the Premiership. None of them seem to be spending too much on new players. The odds on them all surviving are, I’d say, big. Man City seem set to lose Tevez, but have signed Aguero who should do a good job. Mancini has had more experience in England, and with all the money behind him City may recover my losses from last year. Whoever you support , I hope you enjoy the season. I know it’s a big business now, but it also can be a great sport sometimes.

Hi, You might be closer to the truth than you think.
-
Hi, I'm enjoying that bust up but will try to get the topic back on BUST soon.

Hi, The $ has lost 56% of its value against the Swiss Franc in the last 5 years. Hasn't fared as badly against the baht I think.

Hi, Well done to Airbus for getting their foot in the door. The future looks bright. -
Hi, Great stuff. Those Northern Irish guys can play golf. Fowler has a game for links and can win an Open if he stays focused.

Hi, Airbus seem to be doing well. Airbus and IndiGo confirm record deal for 180 aircraft The IndiGo order is the biggest ever in terms of aircraft numbers - but may soon be topped Airbus piled up the orders at the Paris Air Show as it confirmed the largest single order of aircraft in aviation history.Indian budget airline IndiGo is buying 180 planes from Airbus worth about $15.6bn (£9.7bn) at list prices. -

Hi, This is the future challenge I'd say. -
Hi, Have to agree mate. Too early to judge until the money has been spent. I lost money on City last year but may try get it back next season as Mancini will spend and he is a good manager IMO.

Hi, Bookies got hammered as well, even in England.

Hi, Well done Swansea.First Welsh team in Prem. They played a nicer brand of football than Reading. Good game but dodgy defending on both sides.

Hi, Interesting idea. Not sure Airbus management are that smart though. -
Hi, A great final week with relegation undecided to the last few minutes. I had a gut feeling Birmingham would go down and so it proved. Wigan survived again and I think Martinez has done a good job there. I feel sorry for Ancelotti who seems a nice guy and is one of the best managers to ply his trade in the English game. Sunday showed the great love the people have for football in England.

Hi, They get players from other SA countries as well. I think the SA players feel more at home in Portugal/Spain than other places. Language, food, culture etc. come into it .
-
Hi, I don't think it makes a great diffence finishing 3rd or 4th.One would expect either team to qualify. Kroenke seems to have a good track record in sports management and financial prudence. Mourinho won the Champions League with Porto so it can be done without too much money. However, I think the Portuguese are better than English teams at finding great players in South America.
-
Hi, Wolves and Wigan have great victories which give them hope of survival. Hammers go down. Man City qualify for Europe. With their FA Cup win they have had a good season though I lost my bet on the Premiership.
-
Hi, Only one problem with that, MONEY. Idealists have no place in the modern world I'm afraid.

Hi, I covered this in a long post some time ago. Man Utd are the driver for sales all over the World. As a result their success is critical for many vested interests. If you think football and sport is so clean what do you think about the FIFA bribery cases at the moment ?
-
Hi, I think his success with Aberdeen was his finest hour and shows he is a great manager. That is not the issue. Man Utd have produced some of the great teams over the years as well, even before Fergie, and one of the few teams in the Premiership I would pay to watch as they play attacking football. However, I feel their record is tainted by the officiating in the Premiership. I know we will never agree on this and I respect your opinion.

Hi, Man Utd are now going to have more Championships than Liverpool after their defeat of champions Chelsea yesterday. Liverpool won most of theirs in a more honest environment than pertains today though. Still a great scrap at the bottom.
