  1. He'll probably hand in the memory card for developing.
  2. Around 8-10 kms from Ao Nang.
  3. Unfortunately, the proof is in the pudding, as they say. Emil, seems to be doing a good job of spending a significant amount of time in LOS whilst others just talk and fantasise about it. . How many years have you been telling us that?
  4. Given the state of the housing market in both the US and UK, the guys who did flog their house are the clever ones now sitting on a load of cash that isn't depreciating on a daily basis. It's pretty difficult to sell now if there is no-one willing/able to buy your house.
  5. Unfortunately, he's going to need all the A340s he can lay his hands on ............................... A Day In The Life Of Virgin's Head Honcho "Top of the agenda is, not surprisingly, airplanes. Mr Ridgway has been one of the first to publicly raise concerns about the state of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. Having placed an order last year for up to 43 of the state-of-the-art aircraft worth up to $8bn, he is understandably worried about rumours of delays which could be more severe than those that have afflicted Airbus's A380, which has fallen two years behind schedule. "We need to understand what the implications are," he says. "We haven't had any details on the delays and whether it's manageable. We will have to look more seriously at alternatives." Brown1950, Thanks for the update .............. looks good for those guys that are thinking of heading off towards Angeles.
  6. Alternatively, get yourself a free photo hosting account and simply e-mail the link. It is useful if the person at the other end is going to want to print the original picture. Also be aware that simply resizing the pic won't necessarily reduce the actual file size by the amount you want. If the original is decent quality (say 300 dpi) and you only want to view it on a monitor you'll need a program that will also reduce the quality of the file down to something like 70 dpi.
  7. Sailfast, A basic tutorial gives some idea what you can do. http://video.about.com/graphicssoft/Remove...n-Photoshop.htm It was a bit of an understatement to say the original pic was very grainy.
  8. AA doesn't have any aircraft in its fleet (or on order) capable of flying from continental USA to Bangkok non-stop. I would think that, as with United, it would be a direct (one flight #) rather than non-stop flight.
  9. There's a hundred and one ways to improve a pic but without the original its hard to say what would work best. PM me and I'll give you my e-mail addy or access to my photo host account to upload the pic to and see what can be done to improve it. How big is the original file BTW?
  10. Sorry, Alan.
  11. It was only in Etihad colours ............. the accident happened on its pre-delivery checks in Toulouse.
  12. jack, I think one of your LHR legs is on a A340-600. Hopefully they'll have got used to a bit of clutch control by the time you travel. Etihad A340-600
  13. Go to the Amadeus website, select checkmytrip.com and type in your booking reference and name. It will bring up all the info you require.
  14. Don't forget to post the pics ......
  15. You ain't going to be putting any film through a D40x, are you? Just another Walter Mitty moment.
  16. LOL. You were going to check the operation of a DX lense on your Nikon N70.
  17. Film? What camera are you going to fit it to?
  18. The OP mentioned that he was after rooms similar to the Areca or Dynasty Inn. Your recommendation falls far short of that criteria.
  19. jacko Two doors down from Greggs, heading south i.e. away from the Bangkok Bank.
  20. Emil, That is not quite correct. There is a window (of sorts).......... it runs the whole length (width?)/height of the room. I understand it is where the tourist police conducted "interviews" in the past. At least that's what the sign that covers the entire window/glass wall indicates.
  21. 4niceeight, How were you misled? The Qatar site is quite specific as to what you need to attain the various membership levels and what the benefits are once you have attained those levels. Anyway, if you'd paid attention you would have realised what good value this forum really is. http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry483742
  22. Emil, Funnily enough, I've just finished having a look at a couple of places in North Pattaya. I'll do a review with a few pics next week when i get back down south. Tom p.s. Didn't get a fee beer!
  23. BigD, A three-bedroom furnished house with a swimming pool for 20K per month sounds like good value. Do you have any more info (which location/development, terms etc) or a link/contact details?
