Roy has already tried to do the same at Liverpool. It's one thing to motivate the underdogs (witness Chelsea and Greece), quite another to motivate the favourites. I always feel the biggest hurdle England have to overcome is the weight of expectation that they carry. Let's just hope that Stuart Pearce isn't coaching them in the art of penalty taking.

Which is good, unless he's asked to also kick the ball, which seems to be his Achilles heel. On a positive note, he's only the second biggest waste of money in the Premiership. Got to say, I do find the number of Liverpool players in the England squad a bit of a mystery - maybe Roy knows something we don't. That said, if England are still in with a shout when Rooney becomes available ... With Theo Walcott providing "that service", what do you think? He's got the speed of a cheetah on steroids and, unfortunately, the crossing ability of one as well. Watch Carroll score a hat-trick in the final now. LOL. So not to be left out, I'll go for the Dutch. RvP, v Bommel, Sneijder, Robben, de Jong, Huntelaar ... just don't let Robben take any penalties. LOL. The game against Germany next Thu morning (Thai time) is one I'll be staying up for. Portugal as my outside bet.

Where was this old Pattaya pier in 1984?

I reckon around where Siam Bayshore's Bali Hai restaurant now is. -

CheshireTom replied to Chris100UK's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Correct, but it's not the pier in the clip which looks like a temporary structure of sorts. This is/was the old pier ... Lots of pics at this very good site ... The house/building in the background between 2:02 - 2:10 is very prominent and doesn't look like anything on Walking Street/Pattaya Tai junction that I can recall. -
I knew my often misplaced faith in the little guy would be repaid one day! Just watched him win the Wales Open on Astro.

There are actually two cemeteries - the main one in town, and a smaller one, Chung Kai, a couple of clicks down the river from the bridge. It's worth hiring a long-tail boat from one of the pontoons near the bridge to make the journey. In a lot quieter surroundings than the main cemetery.

Well done! You're not as daft as you think! What about the number of posts per page? Any ideas? -

Yes, I've seen that but it only refers to individual named members - you can chose to ignore their posts, signatures and/or messages. There used to be a carte blanche option e.g. at some time in the past I chose to not display signatures - that means I don't see any signatures at all. There was also an option not to display avatars. -

Bump ... What has happened to the options for displaying/not displaying avatars and signatures in your board settings - and the number of posts per page? I probably can't see it for looking at it .... -

I don't know. I know a bird in Sadao that'll give you a blowjob in exchange for a box of three Cadbury's Caramel Eggs - not the yellow and white centres that you get in the Creme Eggs though. What's a blowjob worth in UK these days? -

Which is quite appropriate, because straws are all you're likely to receive from them. But, we can do scam adviser if you like. Are you connected to the two "companies" by any chance? -

Dearie me! They certainly don't have a Baytabs Limited registered in England. I bet you didn't bother checking that either. Try sending them some money and let us know how you get on. While you're at it, you could try sending your majohat.com chums some cash.
