  1. start looking in the hotels link at the top of the page, BTW is your caplocks stuck?
  2. And when they arent there to pick you up, they will come to your hotel and demand payment in full for them not being there, they will offer to send a driver to collect the money at your hotel. This happened to me, and after 20 hours worth of flying and riding in a cab, that was the last thing I wanted to deal with, a lady demanding money on the phone, saying they will send a driver to collect in full. Oh yeah, they give free Muay Thai lessons too I had to bribe the 3 front desk ladies 100bt each to say I went to the roach infested Penthouse hotel.

  8. Growler, you posted this in the wrong section, this is for problems with the forum? you can send free SMS with a yahoo messenger at an internet cafe, open up the IM, click on the phone icon and fire away. I send free SMS to thailand with this instruction I got here: OK, here it goes: Say the number you are trying to call is 09-123-4567 First you would type a "+" then 66 9 123 4567 You need to forget about the first number which is "0" So you would enter the number like this +6691234567 Does that make sense? +66 for the country code, then forget the first numeral of the thai number, then the rest of the number. Get your phone unlocked and simply buy a thai sim card if your phone can take one (GSM) you can receive SMS then, but on a different number.
  9. pattayahappy, for you to read: http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5880 Bintang, have a good time
  10. What you want to do is check into the Lek hotel, for example. Then the next day, go to the hotels you want to stay at, then haggle with the manager. In person, get the quote and leave. Usually they want you to throw down a certain amount of baht to back up what you say. If its not too busy, just show up and get a room, high season (Nov 1 to Feb 15) you need to make reservations. I stay at the baybreeze and my discount is usually quite good, on a long stay. I ran into high season on the last time, and they gave me low season prices for 2 months of staying there. Low season there is 500bt and high season is 600bt, so I paid 500bt a day for 2 months.
