I need to go online to check on my banking account and also pay some bills. How safe if the internet in hotels. The hotel I am in has a passcode that is needed to log in to their wifi but I get a message that it is an unsecure connection. Would I be safer going to an internet cafe and doing my bill paying an banking there or do I just take a risk at either place?

I spent over 21 years in the Army and we had our fun when we were able to go out. I would hope that it is only a few that are making it look bad for the majority. Either way these guys have no more right than any other tourist. DO NOT CARE that they are supposed to be our great American heroes protecting our freedom. They have a responsibility to act in a respectful manner. Just because they are American military does not give them the rights or permission to act like Assholes.

Cobra Gold dates have been announced for the 7th to the 18th of February. Does anyone know if the troops are in town after the excersizes or just during that period?

Hotel looks nice. Wonder if it is part of the Springs hotel chain? SandySpring. Summer Spring?

Thanks Lovedog for the answer. I think the gel caps you are talking about are Andriol right? Those take a while before you start seeing results. Also do not thnk US Customs will let them in to USA. But I know I can get the vials so that helps as I do not feel like giving myself an injection.

Does anyone know of a place where it is easy to get a testosterone injection in the city? (I know just go find a young 20 something thai girl and your testosterone will be taken care of) But really I am looking for any insight as to the availability of getting a shot while there.

Only Gullivers I know of is on Beach Rd near Soi 1. Built and looks much like the Gullivers in BKK.

I went to Air China's website and tried to book the same days and it was listed at over $2000. The flight times were not bad , approx 20 hrs over and coming back to USA was about 24 hours. I did not try to book through one of the listed sites like Travelocity so cannot tell whether the flights were available or not. Waiting for some of the major carriers like Delta, Cathay or EVA to come down a little. Either way I plan on coming end of Feb early March.

Found some flights on Air China for $762 roundtrip end of Feb early March. Much lower thant the $1200 that the airlines have been quoting. Found it on Kayak.

Asiana Airlines, Buisness Class? Seattle-Angeles City
kikc69 replied to wdwflash's topic in Airline Discussion
I have never flown Asianna airlines although they usually come up as the cheapest on most of my searches. Biggest turnoff I think has been the total travel time as they have some long layovers so a flight that should take 18 or so hours ends up being 32. For my searches I usually use Kayak. I found a flight on Delta out of LAX for about $1000 that went through Seatlle . So I thought if it was $ $1000 going through Seatle I could find a cheaper fair from Seattle to Bkk without flying out of LAX. They actually wanted to charge more. Go Figure! If you find some cheap flights in Feb or -

Why the Blue Pill doesn't gel with beer or liquor?
kikc69 replied to sam007's topic in Idle Chit Chat
Try the generic Cialis which can work even with liquor. Also get the Viagra Gel. Get back to room and swallow the gel almost instant results. -
You might want to check out the Sandy Spring hotel. It is on Soi 13 which is in between a lot of the action. If you want to be right in the middle of the action check out some of the hotels on Soi 8. (Flipper or Eastiny)

Make sure you get a visa for Vietnam.

No I think it is Soi 15. You can stop at the Areca front desk and ask directions. I think the alley from the front of Areca to the Evergreen wing goes all the way through. If you go down Soi Diana, turn right onto Soi Buakao and then take the next right down the road towards the Avenues it will get you to the Evergreen entrance.

I am staying there now. From what I understand one girl in the room is ok. Pay extra for two or more. Not sure of cost but I think it is 500 baht. Lots of families here and couples but also lots of farang with the TGF. They also have a new building # 3 (Evergreen). Nice rooms but a bit on the expensive side at 1700 baht.

EverGreen at the Areca Lodge
kikc69 replied to andy6942's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Staying at the Evergreen now. Super Deluxe room 1700 baht per night. Hotel and room are nice but I think somewhat overpriced. Room is normal sized with a balcony. Nice large screen LCD Tv. Bathroom has tub with shower overhead. Walk out the door and a few minutes through the Avenue and you are on 2nd road. Have seen other hotel rooms similar to this in the 1300-1500 baht range. Overall ok but IMHO not worth 1700 baht. Did see a nice new hotel just down the road in Soi Beukow (?) that has a opening promotion of 800 baht. Did not go in but looks nice from the outside. I think the -
Thanks to everyone. You all took away a few worries I had.

I am leaving in two days and went to my credit union to get some travelers checks which I always have used while in LOS> The teller said that many places and countries do not accept them now due to some fraud issues. I still got the checks. Today I went to Wells Fargo and they do not even carry travelers checks anymore. They also said many places will not accept them do to fraud. Any Americans in LOS at this time have first hand knowledge of cashing American Express travelers checks? Any problems encountered by anyone? Thanks for any info.

I agree and I was stupid not to read the fine print. I just wanted to let others know that their cancellation policies can be strict and they should read carefully before they book. Being that the policy is that strict I will not use Agoda again. As far as a special deal it worked out to about 1200 baht per night which is not really that special. I am out 3500 baht through my own fault. Just hope others will read this and make their own decision.

I booked a room at Sabai Lodge for three nights (13th-16 March) through Agoda. The total cost for the three nights was $109.00 (about 3500 baht). On 8 March an emergency arose and I had to cancel my reservation. I canceled through their website and they sent me a reply that no refund was due. I made an inquiry and this is their reply. Dear XXXXXXXXX Thank you for your email.
