  1. Looked at Pier Website and it sounds like it is disco with DJ"s. This place is way down at the far end of walking street right? Did not see anything on the website about the band.
  2. Thanks for the quick replies. (What are you doing up so early in the morning MM?)
  3. Does anybody know where the Rythymn Tracks band went to play after they left FLB?
  4. My Way is closed Fridays and there was a sign on the door saying it would be closed June 1- June 30. Evil Strange a place would close Friday's when the weekend business is starting to come into town.
  5. Has anybody tried Amaa Fashion Tailors in Pattaya? He gets good reviews on Trip Advisor.
  6. I guess it would help when writing to them in English on the internet you would first be able to write the words correctly yourself.
  7. Over 30 baht to the dollar. That is much better
  8. Thanks for the info on the sites. I will stay at Sandy Spring for a few days and maybe look around. I have always liked Sandy Springs for the location so may just stay there the entire trip. I think the room is 1695 baht. ($57 US)
  9. Looking on Agoda for the first two weeks of Feb and the prices are outrageous. An exampl is Page 10 hotel which is usually about $70 US (2100 baht per night). Agoda is now booking it for $310 US that is 9300 baht per night. Many others way over the top. Chineese New Year I know but is it that crowded?
  10. Agoda had vacancies. Page 10 normally goes for about $70 US and is now $174 on Agoda. I have been to Pattaya before in Feb but hotel prices seem much higher than I have ever seen.
  11. Hotel prices are high. At least for the first two weeks of Feb. Tims is normaily about $60 (1800 baht). In Feb it is $137 (4110 baht) Crazy
  12. That is right. About $25 US. I would do that for a few days in Cebu. Will have to watch closely to see if they are more reliable now.
  13. The room I had there looked out into one of the hallways on the new hotel next to it. (Can't remember the name).. Had a balcony but really no view. Did not mind that. My biggest complaints for the Sea Me Spring was that that the safe was to small for my laptop. (Normal size laptop) and the there was absolutely NO shade available at the pool. The pool is nice as you get a good view of the ocean but in May with the sun beating down it would have been nice to swim a little and then get in a little shade. Owned by the same group that owns, Sea Me Spring II, Sandy Spring on Soi 13 and some
  14. I see they have a Carl's Jr coming to Central Festival.
  15. if you book through Agoda you can get some good rates at Sea Me Spring 1 and 2 on soi 10. (I think they may be owned by same group as Sandy Spring) Also look on Agoda as they have many rooms that you can cancel and will not be charged. Be careful with some reservations though because once you pay you cannot cancel and get your money back.
  16. 10000 to 1800 baht a month. That is approx $350 to $600 US dollars a month. No wonder so many of these girls now do not see the need to barfine when they make enough money to keep themselves and their Thai boyfriends happy. I could be wrong but I just returned from AC and I think the girls make about 120 peso a day which works out to about $3.00 US dollars a day. More incentive on their part to barfine.
  17. I guess the throwing of the ping pong balls does no harm the same as throwing money onto the stage. It is more of a cultural look at the way the asian men look at the woman versus others. Just my humble opinion but looking at the asians, (Korean, Japanese) they through the balls and money to inflate their ego and idea of self importance. To them and their culture looking rich and flaunting their wealth makes them a better more important person. You also see it in their XXX movies, where most of them depict the girl as being a student, or forced into acts which the girl acts like she does
  18. Not for certain but all LK hotels I have been in were guest friendly.
  19. This morning I went to UOB Money Exchange on 2nd road next to the Manee Hotel(?). Changed $600.00 in travelers checks and was supposed to get 17,952 baht.(Dollar sucks) Two girls working and one sitting down counted it out and gave it to the other girl. She then passed it through the window to me. I counted and they had given me 16 (thousand baht notes) 1 (five hundred baht note) 9 (hundred baht notes) and a fifty baht note. There were people standing waiting to change money and I had to recount it again to make sure I was right. Gave the money back to the girl and told her to recount
  20. Yes I have Norton Anti-Virus installed. Connection at this hotel is so bad having problems getting on anyway. Can do some internet things but it is slooooooooooooooooow.
  21. Thanks for the quick replies. I have my own laptop so will use that along with the wifi from the hotel.
