  1. Not without posting the bell ringer into the corner please! Hatton made a good effort and showed terrific spirit. He just wasn't the best fighter that night. Okay, I'll leave it alone now..... ~Sa-teef
  2. It's about damn time you showed up! Waited all November for ya and it was a no show! A view of Shooters on one of the last days of November. Joy and I were there. Gert stopped over briefly. "Manfred go home. Cook go home." Couldn't get anything to eat and darn near fell asleep before I finished my first beer! Hope things liven-up a bit around there.............. ~Sa-teef
  3. I'll be in town the first week of November and I'll be sure to stop by. Wish you the best at your new and improved Hooty's. Is the name staying the same, BTW? See you there, ~Sa-teef
  4. Great party with good food and beautiful ladies present. Thanks Alf and Terry for throwing a fun party for all ! Glad I didn't miss this one. ~Sa-teef
  5. Try to remember that's Thai Airways. The same guys who can't back-up a A380 "loaner" without dinging the wing! Banging up a superjumbo US west coast to Asia is a big market, and it would seem to me it's ideal for a point to point with the 787. ~Sa-teef
  6. "Concorde, what a plane !!! Will be talked about thousands of years after thr 787 is forgotten." If you want to fly supersonic at least do it with something that has teeth. Top Gun Trailer If there is reincarnation, I wanna fly planes off ships on the next go 'round. And try to remember the next time you see those 19 and 20 year old sailors on the streets of Pattaya that some of 'em do this stuff for a livin'................ ~Sa-teef Edit: If that's not enough testosterone poisoning for you, the Kenny Loggins video is good. And way better in divx. The codec onl
  7. Thank you for that. Good to hear they are doing well. And sorry about your head, Alan! I found it interesting that AngelWitch and What's Up are on the same soi, less than 100 meters apart. AngelWitch has the center stage with everything going on there, with all the bells, whistles and lights directed there. What's Up has gone to the multiple little naughty corners approach, with the bathtub here, the couches there and oh by the way they have some traditional pole dancers as well. May they both prosper. ~Sa-teef
  8. That makes a lot of sense to me. It's the reason I seldom frequent that place up the street from you with similar initials? It's a "show bar" where a fair few of the lookers dance but don't go. You don't need the hassle and the ill will generated by this problem. ~Sa-teef
  9. I think it is flat out foolish and wrong to assume ALL LADIES who work in a bar are good to go. There are enough wives and girlfriends of falang and thai bar owners who work service jobs of one sort or another in ago-gos and beer bars to make this idea plain silly. In realty she's likely the one who's name is on the lease and the licenses if you want to know the truth, except in the cases where they have a properly formed corporation and have legal right to have falang employees. And even then, the Thai attorney or his representative is likely the one with the license. It's nice that
  10. That doesn't sound good! Did they get nicked for showing Bill? Hadn't heard that one. Scary considering it's Thai owned and operated, ay? ~Sa-teef
  11. As long as the girl is hostess, bartender, service or a hello girl I don't see an issue. Most guys realize that the service may or may not be in the game. But just don't ever let her near a chrome pole! THAT can piss off a whole lot of guys when dancers (like the place down the road) don't go. Well, it does me I should say. Being choosy is their right. If they are just there to dance and for decoration put some Christmas bulbs on her for the three weeks before Christmas and then kick her ass out after New Years! ~Sa-teef
  12. I've spent some good nights in What's Up Ago-go and some good times with their ladies. I know the owner and most of the service girls; well did anyway. They can be a little pushy about drinks but I can say "no" faster than they can say, "you buy one drink for me?". It's pretty wild and wet in there now since they remodeled it. Actually enjoyed it more before but can't turn back the clock. I would have sorted the issue right away when they brought the second drink. It could well be an innocent mistake that two different service girls got the same message, i.e. bring the girl a drink
  13. So you may or may not be there, and you're really not sure of the dates, but you want someone to commit to sub-letting from you? Not taking a dig at you, but don't you think you have the proverbial cart before the horse? ~Sa-teef
  14. Re: Blue Moon. Didn't stay there but I checked out the rooms. Most were very nice and probably a good value. But I'm not sure I would call the room without a window "large" though? The other type rooms looked very good to me. ~Sa-teef
  15. Imagine! A shit fight in the hotel section again and Emil isn't in the middle of it for a change! So, do they have an in-room safe in the Skytop BigD? ~Sa-teef
  16. Heck, we Yanks don't need a discount Short! Haven't you heard; EVERYTHING IN PATTAYA is cheaper than it was 5-10 years ago! ~~Weekly Pep rally to be scheduled soon on Walking Street to be led by prominent bar owners and forum moderators~~ ~Sa-teef
  17. I agree. Soi Bhuakow to Walking Street is an easy and quick run in the early evening. Actually faster I think than Beach Road because the traffic backs up on Beach Road so much. I follow Second Road/Soi Diana on the way back if I'm on two wheels because I can stay in the righthand lane and make a right turn on to Soi Diana. All those storm drains on Pattaya Tai give me the creeps in the early hours and too many wild and crazy motodops headed for the chinese market. If you charter a bahtbus that's the way they go nearly every time as well, so it must be faster that time of night?
  18. The Sheraton Resort is likely the only five start resort in Pattaya and that's a LONG WALK from Walking Street! Do make use of the hotel review section before you make any decisions (especially about Diamond Beach Hotel!) The A-1 Royal Cruise Hotel on Soi 3 is definitely not guest friendly. Primarily focused toward asian tour groups and their karaoke is too darn loud! But they do have a nice buffet and a good gym. Can't say what I'd like to say since this discussion is in the open forum, but re-examine your priorities before you spend a ton of money on a hotel roo
  19. Emil can explain it better than I can , but some of the programs (such as United) are very lucrative if you use them often enough. If you are Premier Executive in their program with double miles it boils down to buy two get one free. Even if you're paying $1,000 each for two trips (I don't think he pays that much through his travel agent) the third free flight brings the average cost down considerably. Back when he was flying over six times a year he was paying for 4 flights and flying six times and he was getting the average price right down there. ~Sa-teef
  20. I guess I had the wrong forum, sorry. And I'm not about to do a direct link to another forum> But OnMyWay had rented a room there for two months in the fall of 2006 and left early. His review is posted on that other forum that begins with the letter "S". ~Sa-teef
  21. Yes, Memorial Day to Labor Day is historically the most expensive time to fly out of the USA. I just checked on Sidestep and the SFO to BKK round trips are down to: PAL: $903 ANA & JAL: $1038 China Airlines: $1044 United: $1098 Northwest: $1197 That was September 4th returning September 25th. Good time of year to fly from the USA is the fall before the holidays. ~Sa-teef As an after thought, the THAI non-stop from LAX to BKK is down to $1187 for that same time slot. That might be worth considering for someone.....?
  22. "Whats the problems ???? Really would like to know......cos its a great location for me" IF you follow the link I posted there has been a discussion on this forum about this place in the past. Or do a key word search for yourself. I see no need to repost our experiences again exclusively for you. Maybe they have made some significant changes and the outside issues have gone away? I have my doubts and I'd never take the chance, but it could happen I suppose. ~Sa-teef
  23. IF anyone re-considers.... Some of the best stuff is here: Sanya Apartments Pay particular attention to the 100 euro required deposit! Does that sound like a place that is all that is promised? ~Sa-teef
  24. You might want to do a search on the hotel section for Sanya Apartments. There are several of us (including myself) who had the misfortune of staying there in years past. ~Sa-teef
  25. Yes, but does it have an in-room safe? ~Sa-teef
