I have using the Toppoint Quantum 2 piece ball for about a year now. My experience is that they are very similar to the original Titleist Pro V1X. The factory is about 30 minutes from Pattaya on Highway 36. 1 dozen cost 480 baht purchased at the factory. I ordered 1 gross today and they delivered to my office in Bangkok. Toppoint Golf Balls

Must have been one hell of a party on Roland's friend's 10 baht. -
Not sure how long this GoGo has been open. Looks quite recent. Fairly attractive array of pole polishers. The obligatory soap and tub. 3 very attractive Hello Girls wearing the nice old style stewardess gear. Drink prices are average, no bargain. Rate it as 3.5 out of 5. Deducted .5 for the overly loud techno crap music and 1 point for allowing smokers.

Visited some Walking Street GoGo's Saturday night. Ratings are subjective and out of 5. Beach Club - 4/5. Lots of girls, drink prices were reasonable, fun atmosphere. Club Misty's - 1/5. Great layout and that's about all the good I can say. They must have some special dispensation from the police. Place was incredibly smoky. Lots of girls with cigarettes dangling from their fingers. If you are a non-smoker, this is not the GoGo to visit. Hooty's - 3/5. Plenty of girls. Most doing more than the Chrome Pole Shuffle and one girl, #69, who appeared to be doing her best to get herself off by grinding said chrome poles.

I was in last night (Sunday) 9:30PM - 10:15PM. Nice place. 9 Freelancers total. All in the 5-6 range. -
Plutaluang - Royal Thai Navy Course near Sattahip. Played a week ago. Total cost for green fees, caddy and cart was 1200 baht. Fairways were not in great shape but the greens were immaculate. Ended up with a guy for a caddy who knew his stuff but smoked the whole time. Course has 36 holes, North and West nines, South and East nines. Carts (buggy's) are optional at Plutaluang and also at Khao Kheow Country Club.

Where on Soi LK Metro? Can you give some directions or a map? Never mind. Got the map off your website.

I do my banking with HSBC in Singapore. However a good friend has recommended FBME. FBME. They are based in Cypress and have a good reputation for privacy and excellent internet banking.

I have been looking for a Kinko's style copy shop that can scan several very large documents into PDF files and burn them on a disk. Tried Office Depot, Tukcom and several photocopy shops. There does not appear to be anywhere in Pattaya that has this capability. Do any BM's know of a copy shop/business center that can do this work?

I wish you luck in your search for a 6 month rental. When I first moved to Pattaya I spent 2 months looking for a place to rent on a 6 month basis. Never found one. Shortest lease period was 1 year with a 2 month damage deposit. What do you consider cheap for a monthly rental? You can probably find a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house in the 15-20k baht/month range but it would also likely be on the dark side of Sukhumvit.

I am using TOT IPStar satellite. I pay 2025/month for the 1Mbps/512Kbps. Some days it works, other days its best just to go for a swim. The biggest problem is that most, if not all of TOT's servers are black listed by Spamcop, SORBS and Abuseat. A lot of companies use those services to help with their inhouse "Spam Blockers." Very frustrating because people are not receiving my e-mails. I have complained to TOT many times and have sent the reports from Spamcop and TOT still claim there is nothing wrong with their servers. I have heard that CSloxinfo provides very good service but their prices are 4 times more expensive than TOT.

Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule
Sammy replied to BigDUSA's topic in Idle Chit Chat
Lots of reporting on the rollout today on CNN with Richard Quest and other CNN crew. Interesting that they interviewed all of the Japanese component manufacturers and CNN quoted that over 1/3 of the plane's content is made outside the U.S.A. Quite a change from the 25% Scalawag quotes. -
Someone a while back inquired about storage units. The info below was stuffed in my mailbox a few days ago. I don't know "John" nor do I know if his business is reputable.

Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule

List of airplanes I have been a passenger in: Fokker F-27 ATR-72 Boeing 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 A-300 A-319 A320 DC9 No A330 or A340. Does a Sikorsky S-61, Bell 412 or Eurocopter Dauphin EC155B1 count? If by adolescent you mean that I am always trying to learn then I take it as a compliment. But I doubt you meant it that way. You stated Professor, that technology moves quickly in this area. How quickly? In terms of nanoseconds or glacially? Give me some facts, or are you only able to make broad statements that mean nothing? -

Thank you for the time moves on lesson Professor How long has the 787 been in design? They certainly have spent a lot of time and money on a project that even Boeing engineers remain very concerned about the lightning issue but Mr. VP of the project tries to sweep it under the rug. For the record I have never flown on an A340 either. -

I am not an engineer, nor have I ever worked for an aerospace company. There was a Bristow helicopter crash in the North Sea in 1995 due to a lightning strike. The crash investigation concluded that the carbon fibre rotor blade somehow intensified the lightning. The British government basically covered up the investigation results. I am not clear if Anti-Lightning strike fasteners invented since then have been proven to do the job. Not sure I will want to fly on a 787 for a few years. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/busi...9_boeing05.html -

Your friend's bathroom.....a likely story. -
I asked this same question a couple of month's back and did not get a response. I tried the "Teakdoor" website and was given a name but when I called the guy he had no idea what I was talking about. If you find one, PM me please.

Manhattan's Steakhouse. Went there for the first time a few nights ago for my 45th birthday with 3 Issan lovelies. Cost for the 4 of us was just over 6000 baht but it was by far the best steak I have had in Pattaya (10 oz Australian ribeye). Superb service, decent selection of wine. Blueberry Sorbet was a little too sweet for desert. Cabbages and Condoms - good ambience, very good Thai food. Sportsman - like the fried egg sandwich Bob's wings

Most over rated by far is Bruno's. Small portions, vastly overpriced, poor service (on a less than 1/3rd full Monday night), dirty eating utensils. Fork still had bits of the last diner's food on it. How this guy continues to get good reviews is one of Pattaya's great mysteries.
