  1. I guess that is a not on the incentives for non-sexpats. :-( Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Is Tapatalk 4 an improvement over Tapatalk 2 ?? Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  3. I still like Mr. T - but at 1200 pattayalimo sounds OK Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Damn - that looks tempting - wish I was there: -) Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Even worse if the price gap is bigger Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Any deals for the visitors or are they only for expats. I can see a quantum based system being fair - but if my beer is always 50 % more expensive than Gabors it would not be tasty to me
  7. Where in Pattaya is your new place - and what does it cost? Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Yeah - and I see now that it kind of covers my questions. I remembered differently and that in spite of appreciating the report. Thanks Sendt fra min HTC Desire S med Tapatalk2
  9. I am going to take the bus to Khon Kaen (and I DO know it is a long trip - and I might fly on the other way). As far as I have been able to find out there are 2 companies having VIP buses to KK from Pattaya - and that is Chan Tours and 407. They both go at approximately the same time - and both uses 9 hours for the trip. Chan Tours is 100 baht cheaper - but both are really cheap so that is not a concern. Can anyone here say which bus is the nicest - or do I just have to trust that since 407 cost the most it is also the best ?
  10. Well - I don't know if you can buy stuff online also with the miles. They are building a new and much bigger airport in Doha so the busses will hopefully disappear soon. Even though I think (especially for businessclass) the busses are quite different from a bahtbus. But the good bit is that we can all pick what we prefer. Sendt fra min HTC Desire S med Tapatalk2
  11. Tom is right - I am not really a frequent flier but last year I had a nice bottle of "Black Bush" for Qmiles expiring later in the year. Not a lot but still better than nothing :-) And just why do you think QA is shit - I think the planes, seats and service are better than most airlines I have flown with ? (but as said I am not really a frequent flier),
  12. So Jacko (and others) will get the expat card without showing documentation but aftewr being submitted to a third degree interrogation ?
  13. Damn - the does not sound good - maybe it will soon be time to seek medical attention for the "Thai fever" I have been enjoying the last many years. If P4P is on the same terms and at the same prices as in Germany I might as well save the airfare - or learn to live with the shitty hotels in the Philippines :
  14. That Orchid place looks good - thanks guys I doubt I want to drive up there from Pattaya - I would probably rather take the bus or fly up there - and just rent something for local transport.
  15. I am considering to visit Khon Kaen around the first weekend in May and might enjoy seeing the sights a bit further out than the city center. To do this I think it would be nice to rent a small car - if I can rent one for a few days at a reasonable price. Suggestions (preferably with a link) for a good place to rent will be welcomed. If you know of a good place to rent a Suzuki Hayate or a Yamaha Nuovo I would also like to hear that - just like hotel recommendations are welcomed (nothing fancy - but clean and with good air con).
  16. So - now we have placed the Nakhonchai Air terminal and the 407 terminal - where is the Chan terminal ?
  17. I did it with a map drawn on a napkin - not hard at all Martin - but still it would be nice if Google Navigation started to work. I guess just using Google maps on the phone would be to distracting ar REALLY a recipe for disaster
  18. Are you renting out for one month also and what is the price if you do ?
  19. Thanks guys - that Nam Jung looks OK - I will check it :)
  20. Thanks - but I HAVE been on those pages - I just cannot seem to find a clear descrioption of contents and prices of individual packages ? I was at Telewiz at Pattaya Klang and that woman told me that I needed to put in 300 baht for every month
  21. or does anyone have the email address and/or webchat URL for 12 call ? I have been looking for an online help chat or as a minimum an email address for 12 Call but cannot find it in their pages. I DID post the message below on their facebook page - but it did not look like it was a very active page - so I would appreciate your help if you know either the URL/email address or the answer to my questions: I have a HTC Desire S bought in Denmark. Can I can 3G data on it from 1-2 Call (I cannot from DTAC because of different frequencies) ? At present I have a prepaid Happy DTAC card and it works well (except for the 3G). I am visiting Thailand 1 or 2 times per year so I need a package that has a low maintenance cost (so if I add 300 or 600 or 1000 baht before I go home I have 12 months validity) - even if the calls/sms'es then will be a little more expensive. The option of online top-up would be nice too (hopefully without needing to turn on the phone - since roaming from Denmark is not cheap). Do you have a good option for me or should I rather stay with DTAC and just settle with GRPS instead of 3G ?
  22. Thanks - that is an option - I am thinking that a bust to MorChit and a bus MorChit - Phitsanulok is also an option - if I can find a MorChit - Phitsanuloktimetable. But it IS a long drive
  23. What is the smartest (easiest most comfortable & cheapest) way to go from Pattaya to Phitsanulok ? I am thinking it must be either bus or flying – but both options has some drawbacks: The bus takes 8 hours and the latest bus leaves at 19:15 (NCA) so you will arrive at 03:15 – the earlier option with departure 16:20 is not so much better. And can it really have heard it right that it is not possible to buy a ticket the day before or at the same time you are ready to go on the bus ? As I heard it you have to buy the ticket at 8 in the morning on the same day that you want to ride. The plane is more expensive (mainly if you also add a taxi to/from the airport). The airport bus from the “Foodland square” in Jomtien or the Bell service would be possibilities – but now the cheaper domestic flights are back in Don Muang – are there any busses to DM ?
  24. Best wishes on a speedy recovery Mick - I am sure the positive spririt will help :)
