  1. Thanks BT for the explanation.
  2. Forest games? This is a new one for me. Is this anything like Find The Gnome or where Prince Charles and his mates chase after a fox on there horses?
  3. Mandalaypirate, Thanks very much for the offer, but you know how it is...after all that traveling you just want to get to the final destination as quickly as possible. Thanks again for the offer. Cheers and have a great visit.
  4. The last time I had a lamb kebab it was bhhhaaaad.
  5. Get in at 11:05am, I should be ready at taxi stand by 11:45am. Anyone like to share the costs of a taxi to Pattaya at this time?
  6. Thank God Tom was not a testing judge or Lance would not have won 7 Tours. He had enough of a hard time with his French adversaries who were looking for ANY excuse and would have disqualified him in a heartbeat if they could. Tom, you must have had some money on one of Lance A's rivals and lost big time to be so biased against him and to try to diminish his accomplishments. Really sounding like very sour grapes. Enough from me, have a good day.
  7. The "clear" and the "cream" are two steroid applications that got Balco Labs and the SF Giants Barry Bonds in hot water. Both are topical applications.
  8. 100,000b a day? Are you planning on replacing someones sick livestock? New vehicles for the farm? Washing machines for everyone in her hometown? Your name wouldn't be Peder would it?
  9. mook, Those are three of the all time greatest American athletes. To your list I would like to add Mohammed Ali, Babe Ruth and Michael Jordan. One of the worlds greatest athletes was a Brit, Sir Roger Bannister, the first man to break the four minute mile barrier.
  10. After pondering this question, I think the best British athlete would have to be Eddie the Eagle.
  11. It seems it is easier to say someone successful is a cheater rather than give him his proper kudos. Armstrong is the most "tested" athlete of all time and he always comes up clean. Hard for underacheivers to believe that one so successful doesn't cheat, especially someone who nearly died from cancer. Give him his due, Armstrong is one of the greatest athletes of all time. I don't believe he will enter politics though, especially in Texas. A divorced father in the bastion of family values? He has a big contract with the Discovery channel to develop and host television specials. Through his endorsement deals, it is reported that his fortune is over 50 million. Time to reflect, travel, relax and be a dad.
  12. I'm not even in Thailand right now let alone Lucifers two nights ago. don't blame me
  13. That is Ok with me. They ran the best center modern day center and the best modern day head coach out of town and handed the team over to a immature and selfish Kobe. Now they will wallow in mediocrity for many years until Kobe demands a trade. Good luck with your move to the LOS you lucky guy.
  14. are you a believer now?
  15. My condolences to Om's family, friends and the staff at the FLB.
  16. And there is always the view from the Soi 13 balcony...
  17. aarmitage9, Staying there as well in April. Only thing I worry about is a piece of concrete bouncing off my noggin while walking down the soi. Great place to stay. Construction ends each day by 5pm. View from 5th floor balcony. Have a great trip.
  18. Well it's Friday night here in California and I am about to go to a club and try my luck with some of those fat western broads. Won't be in Thailand for another 5 and 1/2 weeks so, wish me luck.
  19. As the others have said the weather will be very hot and humid. Be careful of a lot of sun exposure. Even if you are a young and fit man you can easily get heat exhuastion and dehydration. Drink a lot of bottled water. Happened to me, it's not fun.
  20. I stayed at the Sandy Spring for 3 weeks in September and have booked for a couple weeks in April as well. The hotel is great, but with all due respect to Cowboy and Bazzap I think the beds there are pretty damn firm. Usually I can fall asleep pretty easily after a night of excitement, but waking up can be a bone acheing experience. Still it is a great hotel and a great location, but the beds suck.
  21. Dr. Ting Tong, Good to see you posting again. I can just imagine if I was sitting on the throne reading the paper and a rat came up out of the toilet wearing my deposit. No doubt about it I would have lost it. Rats, snakes and stray dogs are my phobias.
  22. My coffee is all over my keyboard after it spewed through my nose. Best chuckle I have had all week. Enjoy your trophy. Cheers.
  23. I took the Thai airlines mini bus from airport to Pattaya, only 300b and dropped me off at he bottom of the soi that my hotel on, but it was the ride from hell. Pedal to the metal all the way from airport to Pattaya during rush hour noon time traffic in Bkk. I was on with three other guys and no one could look out the front window, it was that bad. No seat belts. After dropping off the mail at the Thai airlines office driver was more than acccomdating and dropped off everyone where they wanted to go.
  24. Best T shirt I ever saw was on a 20 something T/G on the beach in Jomtien, the front of the shirt read in big block letters...F_CK YOU, YOU F_CKING F_CK! My Heineken blew out my nose when I read that. She was cute too.
  25. Emil provided me with this information. Bus leaves at 12pm and drops you off at beach rd.
