I just received this query from a 46 yo couple, living now in a 'lefter-than-before" Latin country(edited): Were Scott and Kasey, an American couple living on xxxx Island off the coast of yyyy. Due to the political climate we are going to leave here very soon. As soon as we sell our places. So never having lived in Asia we are looking for advice and information. We're contacting a few swinger friends . Possibly you can give us some insight as to the sex scene there for a couple. Also your input on living there, such as costs, quality of life, business opportunities things like that. We h

Another plug for UAL's Premier Executive level. Aside from the other benefits, three bags at 70 lbs each for international. Last trip Bkk<>USA I had a third piece of luggage: a 2 meter, 40kg hollow mahogany tree trunk (aaaah Chatujak Market...),wrapped in roofing plastic with rope handles. UAL: No problem sir, our staff will escort the piece to oversize luggage (xrayed). It was already tagged, off it went to the plane and I to the gate. No problem either at IAD... Customs: What is that? ME: A piece of mahogany. Customs: Okay, Thank you sir. IAD TSA people, however, droppe

With trans-oceanic/continental flights soon to be taxed for the extraordinary impact they have on global warming, I wonder what will happen to the future of such as leisure flights. Business fliers will simply pass those costs on downline, to be embedded in the imported shoes, shrimp, etc we buy. But who will we pass the costs on to? Well, the free ride on the environment was good while it lasted.

Also didn't have my camera.... Early 1980's depth of Reagan's economic depression... Staying at the Sheraton in Honolulu Half-way down a walkway was their boutique shop, named Infinity. At the end of the walkway was the Sheraton employment office. Yup, the sign in the main building read: Employment Office-Beyond Infinity

I am inbound to TH in late June. Can fly business class (upgraded from normal economy fare) Chicago-Narita-Bkk (United), or Thai JFK-Bkk, premium economy. Travel time aside, which offers best seating? I suspect UAL? Bob

Continental Airlines in big heap of trouble
Rengoh replied to zaphodbeeblebrox's topic in Airline Discussion
Wow! How did that get by the "racist in the room" filter? The ADA does not apply to someone who is just sick, or thought to be sick. It applies to persons with disabilities, disability defined by the Courts. What court be willing to set a precedent that "coughing" is a disability? Same court, I supect, that would rule as a disability "being drunk and stupid," and we see them denied all the time. No big news here, happens all the time, with the reporter able to twist it into a great topical (Spring Break) human interest story. Another beer, another topic, pleeeeez -
I just (last week) booked two dozen UAL flights from SE USA through DC & Chicago, all under $1000. (Only one for me, group quotes were way too high) Yesterday, three more through Chicago, under $900. BTW, the Narita-Dulles UAL flight is new, and lightly better timewise, depending on final destination.

Noted above: "From Miami, my total was $1087 ." Travelocity quoted the same fare at about 1400 Note it is a Sunday departure too, so a few baht more

PS: No smilely with a long beard and balding head! If you can read the above line without glasses, this post is not for you. (USD reference) Two ago, my employer picked up my membership in UAL's Silver Wings, providing me on my first flight with a cost savings to match my lifetime membership cost. Now, with SW preferred upgrade ($215 1st year, $300 in flight vouchers in return) its double miles. Five trips a year...... SW prices fares by regions to regions (e.g. SE USA transatlantic, or SE USA transpacific (Bangkok fare). From Miami, my total was $1087 (all fees, taxes incl)., saving t

MIA-ATL, then on to Bkk with Korean Air is my preferred flight, when the price is right. Now, UAL (through Chicago outbound, through Washington DC inbound) is cheapest.

Air France? I flew them USA-Paris-Lisbon-Paris-Bkk-Paris-USA last December. On each of the long legs, I experienced food sickness...so, if you want to loose weight, skip the health club, fly air france.

I flew them in June. Bkk-Chaingrai Bkk--CR four hours late to take off CR--Bkk six hours late to take off. Otherwise: Perfect flight Flying with two TG's for a playful weekend, so the four hours lost "up" was especially missed
