Evil, I like your food reviews, but why do Americans have to fuck with our language all the time? Deplane? What's wrong with get off? Do you de taxi, de bus ,de baht bus, etc ,etc. Just one example, must be getting old !

Just got back from this place . Guy who took my order didn't fill you with confidence. Consequently the ordered dish did not come and I got something so spicy I could not eat it. All attempts to resolve were fruitless. Don't even dream about asking for the manager. Their idea of customer service is to surround the table with guys in the hope that intimidates you. Will never go back .

Notice you say freshly prepared and not cooked. A proper lasagne will take considerable time to cook from fresh. This clearly looks like a portion cut from a much larger dish, and given the few customers,it wasn't prepared just for you. How long did you wait for arrival?

I'm flying business and was planning to accumulate miles , but always interested to find out how the other operators fare. Probably best to stick unless they are so much better than Qatar.

Qatar for me every time, especially from Manchester for me.

Anyone know if there is any problem using these in Thailand? A mate thinks they may have been banned in some countries but not sure which. It wouldn't surprise me if you could smoke the real ones indoors, but not the electric ones!! Cheers

thanks for info guys. I usually stay at the Nana or Dynasty by NEP ,so you can see quality is not a priority! Had a friend stay at Amari once ( non monger) and the room looked nice. I can get it for 2000 bt in oct ,so wondered if worth a try. Looks like back to Nana then - I like the convenience.

Anybody know if this hotel is girl friendly, and if so any joiner fee? cheers

yeah,I'm fully aware of this.Last time the bus was full and you cant pre book with this company yet. The Bell bus co schedule means I just miss one and have nearly 2 hours to wait.All in all, if there is someone to share, happy days.thanks anyway. ps. forgot to mention, arriving on Etihad from Abu Dhabi.

I have stayed many times and if you get a room at the back ( ie non sun view, in shade) did not hear a thing from the market. Also never experienced any middle eastern customers - pretty much all western. For 800 its a good deal, with a discount for staying 1 week.Have fun

Its a good ,clean, hotel with decent showers.Not noisy from a bar / traffic point of view but you will get some people who want their tv on loud and come home with lady and make a bit of noise. That goes on everywhere though. Good value. Most people pronounce ' boo cow' or something similar!

Avoid at all costs. Started off ok but went downhill fast ( as many do) Dirty, bedding not cleaned properly, bathroom mouldy.Can also be noisy.Sunview on Soi Bukau much better option.

I emailed Stickman on the subject of non -kiwis opening such an account. He has replied saying he doesnt think it would be a problem, but you would have to go to NZ to open the account. Long way to go for me just to get an extra % or so, but maybe worth it for others.

[ I had no problem opening the two secondary accounts. 2nd one I did on line. 3rd one in branch some grumbling about 'these aren't automatically granted' etc I explained the need, mention was made of initial deposit requirement, when I said take 10 or 20 thousand out of the savings account if that'll do it...they opened with a zero balance no problem. nice one. I will try the online route. Always been a bit of a worry this.

Is there no problem in opening extra flexaccounts then ? I thought you had to pay in your salary or £1000 in order to open one ? sounds like a good idea if you can.

They will look at you funny if you DONT have a girl! Good rooms, great showers ( walk in for +) new carpets and handy for loads of places. Just increased their prices but still good value. Dont bother with a ' superior' room ,the standard is fine.

Anyone been to the Cherry since it moved? Still good ? IMO one of the best around quality wise.
