  6. I doubt I'd spend 3k in an open air bar, but if an indoor bar wanted to charge me for using the facilities I believe I'd leave a nice soaking roll of bog paper for them to sort out after I left.
  7. I just wear swimming trunks all day. So, if I need to piss, I just walk into the ocean for a bit.
  8. GAR is always a good feed good to see you back on the main board DUSA
  9. most rooms on Khao Sahn, for 180 Baht, are going to be shared with others & have gym style lockers for storing your personal items.
  10. in Pattaya - Carlton, 2nd road. I thought the paint was going to fall off the ceiling on me & the door had to be kick closed because it was so warped from getting wet from the leaking ceiling. in PI - a little hovel in Olongapo that was basically a treehouse in Samet - a treehouse similar to the one in PI, & like the one in PI there was no way to keep theives out, so had to stay near it or carry all your personal gear with you everywhere it was easy in the PI cause all I had was condoms, lube & an ATM card, but in Samet I was with the TGF. in BKK - not SO bad, but it was the hotel Eden uses, the room was so small that the door didn't fully open before hitting the bed. At least it had a DVD player to keep the TGF occupied while I went & got another room in another soi for shaggin' FLs from Subway & surrounds. in Chiang Mai - a seedy ST hotel near the backpacker hangouts that had chickens in whicker baskets in the courtyard, LOL I'm sure I'll think of more later, cause I've been in some doozies working all around LOS. Songkla had a real horror story, but can't remember the name.
  11. I also think the scars on the upper arm are from a bad smallpox vaccination, cause I saw the old style innoculation go out of style. I got my smallpox vaccine by oral meds if I remember right.
  12. ah, he was Rambo's C.O. in First Blood
  13. depends, the latest Nokia's charge on a micro-USB port which you can find all over, not Nokia brand, but there are plenty cheapies out there that do the same thing.
  14. I tried an EV-DO dongle at Hutch in Laam Tong Rayong & it was getting the same speeds as my AIS Edge connection, so I didn't bother changing.
  15. worst I ever got screwed in a deal like this was losing an E66 Nokia just off Walking Street I felt comfortable because I was in P72 where I felt comfortable, but she apparently handed my phone off to someone who came to the door while I was in the shower
  16. I think what he meant was lucky numbers or numbers that are easier to remember would be sold at a premium by the vendor, not that the actual manufacturer/provider would have a different price call it opportunism
  17. The only FACE I see is the issue of the salesgal thinkin' that Thai made products are better than those made in China. That's laughable.
  18. is anyone out there on Hutch or CAT's CDMA EV-DO service ? they're calling it 3G, but it's the version for CDMA
  19. nope, he wasn't in it
  20. good film & possibly the first one about under-privileged kids getting educated, which now seems to be a fad of movies Stand & Deliver
  21. I'm not sure where you heard or read this, but it's false. I just finished a job where we installed satellite internet that was up to 1.5 Mbps & where there was NO phones neither land line nor mobile The systems I've seen in LOS usually start about 384 kpbs D/L & about 44 kbps U/L & of course you can get better systems the more you pay The cheaper faster option option is en Edge card/dongle or straight off the mobile, if you can go with a unilimited data plan CAT was working on a system to provide decent speeds for upcountry : http://www.cattelecom.com/site/en/list_service.php?cat=568 looks like it can get up to 3.1 Mbps depending on your location I'd go to the local seller of these units & see what their speed is like if it's better than 153 Kbps then it's worth buying, but anything less is the same as you'll get on Edge with AIS or DTAC then again, there's the cost consideration, which I'm not sure what CAT charges I think it was 1k Baht for unilmited access on their EV-DO (3G for CDMA) system
  22. fuckin' guy is funny w/o even trying : & his wife ain't bad either speaking of which, they've both hosted Saturday Night Live, him most recently & her right after getting taken off of her guest appearance on Sesame Street for having her bOObs in a nearly see-thru top
