So, as I understand from those knowledgeable about pipe sizes, one is to take a wad of shitty toilet paper, push down the lid on this panda receptacle, and insert along with all the other shitty wads of paper that are already there. I've been here a long time, and on those rare occasions where I'm compelled to use a toilet in a business to take a dump, I've never thrown the tissue that I've used to clean myself into the bin. I'm still not sure if that is an exception to the sign or not. It's clear you are a special case, but you can't expect every property owner and renter to adapt to your needs. Perhaps if you contacted a property owner and arranged for a chair you'd get what you wanted, but to suggest that anyone who puts a studio up for rent should have a chair rather than a couch is clearly a rare complaint.

My experience with Thai doctors (and dentists) is that they are very reluctant to use chemicals for pain management. I'm wondering if it's a Buddhist thing, since Buddhism focuses on suffering in all its forms. I agree with jacko's suggestion, but am not sure how to implement it prior to your arrival.
