  5. No reason whatsoever, but for those of us who have missed connections with his drivers ( no shows), had to take sidetours with the ones going to the airport because they promised some family member or whatever that they would come by, it's a serious issue. I am happy to pay 1500 baht for a taxi at departures. 500 baht...pfft. I used Mr. T for 5 or 6 years and finally got fed up with the uncertainty. Up to you, of course.
  6. Try the Vault...usually fully booked, but possibly what you want.
  7. But 300 baht is where reliability and comfort is concerned. Most people think that would be a good deal, though maybe not some of the participants on this forum.
  8. First post! Well done! WTTB.
  9. Oops. I'll fix it shortly.
  10. jacko, that 3 cart haul wasn't really representative of a typical load. It only had 2 thick Aussie steaks, a box of wine,a few frozen dinners from some local producers, and most of the rest was Thai food/meat, laundry stuff, and probably some cosmetics snuck in by my missus. It was 10K. At Villa, I'd be buying Wagyu steaks, going crazy on the selection...I hate to think what the bill would be. And, of course (to stay on topic), it would not fit in that refrigerator!

      Glad to hear that.

  12. Sorry to shock you, but I'm quite happy with Foodland. I go to Friendship when I've not much time and am desperate.
  13. Actually, that was Friendship, though I'd prefer to go to Foodland. In spite of the number and size of the haul, we don't need large quantities of anything. We aren't buying in bulk...just lots of things. My understanding of Macro is that if it's suitable for large packages of items, tho I've never been. Anyway, a half fridge wouldn't cut it in our style of shopping.
  14. I have a big fridge to hold must of this..(today's shopping haul was 3 full carts)
  15. Is it on the corner of 2nd Road(Pratumnak) and Thappraya?

    Cool Video

Agreed. Thanks to samfreeland for going the extra mile and embedding the video. Now, if short, who is nearly a founding member, could work out how to use the forum, we'd all be better off

Can you embed it? I know I don't care to click on links without some good reason.

  19. You must not have read the thread. There were several complaints.
  20. Handy for what? Pattaya? It's certainly closer to the action in Jomtien, such as it is.
  21. I have to chime in here. I used Mr T consistently for years, but I finally got fed up with drivers being late, not there, our clueless about where I should meet them on my arrival in Thailand. I now exclusively use the taxi stands at the airport to get to Pattaya. This decision was made about 3 years ago. I do use his service to get to the airport most times, however. 22. You would have better luck at getting an answer if you opened a topic with that question, rather than asking it in the middle of a topic about KFC (or salmon). Sent from the mostly bugfree Tapatalk app for Android.
  23. Of course there is. Look at the map. It also depends on where you're coming from.
  24. Filet mignon (French for "cute fillet" or "dainty fillet") is a steak cut of beef taken from the smaller end of the tenderloin, or psoas major of the beef carcass, usually a steer or heifer.
