Everything works fine on other forums...so it's not a fucked up browser setting. Something is going on at the server too, since many of us are having the same problems. -
There's another current topic listing that problem and more.

I think they (Invision support) may have given up on us...or are sleeping now. -

In an attempt to eliminate the effect of any bugs fixed in the last two Invision releases, their support upgraded our server. There are done teething pains right now. Seems they are baffled because it's not reproducible on their computers. It's not strictly a local browser issue, because other Invision sites work fine. Sorry for the frustration and trouble thisis causing. I'm at my wit's end right now. -

I've been going back and forth with Invision support on this. Their engineer does not see the problem, even when he logs in as my id, using any browser. The conclusion would seem to be it's a localized (our PCs) problem of some sort, and we're working on finding out what the heck can be done about it. FYI, Gabor, I get the same strange result when I open a reply box or quote. Is anyone not having these problems? We may need to find out what is different about your configuration vs those of us who are having the problem. -

Something is definitely broken. It just started yesterday, I guess. Popups and reply/quote boxes don't have all the RTF options... I have opened an incident with invision today...waiting on response. -
No sign of them that I have seen yet.

A different Pharmacy Question
MM replied to kosman's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
Just ask after your first purchase. It's not much of a discount...less than 5 percent. -
Location...I'm talking about the Soi where this condo is.

A different Pharmacy Question
MM replied to kosman's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
I get my supplies of heart medications at Fascino's. They are on Pattaya Tai by the school and Pattaya Nua, where their larger pharmacy is. I don't look for discounts on them. One pill I take daily (plavix) is 125 baht each. Ouch. -
lovedog, the thread was going along fine until you posted the above about some neg rep you got. Naturally, VPI was going to respond. You two have been going back and forth since. But, lovedog, you initially took the thread off topic into personal attacks. Now, both of you should drop this and stick to the original purpose of the thread.

Yeah, that's the prize winning one.

Yes, without navigation, you really need a smart navigator to watch the phone and give turn commands...google maps are up to that, but they don't have the vocalization feature for Thailand. I don't think there is much difference between reading a napkin and reading a google map...both are crazy. That's why I use a dedicated GPS system with voice navigation for now.

It's pretty much the same everywhere. FLB has a sticker in the entry way (put there by the police) that says it lies within the "Safety Zone".

I'm amazed the Thai cops showed such restraint in dealing with a drunk brandishing a pistol. I'm pretty sure in the good ole USA, they'd have called out SWAT, forced him to take hostages, SWAT would move in and kill many of the hostages, finally gunning the drunk down after he'd passed out with the gun in his hand. These guys actually walked up, disarmed him, restrained him, and got him down to the police station without anyone getting killed. I love SAFETY ZONES!

This incident last night across from FLB at the Hot Tuna rock bar should inspire us all with confidence in the new Safety Zones being promoted by the police From http://www.pattayaon...th-pattaya-bar/ Off-Duty Police Officer arrested by colleagues at South Pattaya Bar Posted on February 10, 2013 at 12:48 pm Just after 3am on Sunday Morning Pattaya Police received a report of an off-duty Police Officer who appeared drunk and was brandishing a gun in front of tourists at a Rock Bar on Walking Street in South Pattaya. Officers and Police Volunteers made their way to the popular Rock Music Bar which was full of foreign patrons and spotted the individual who was clearly in possession of a firearm and appeared in a drunken state. He was dancing close to the sound stage and was surrounded by Pattaya Police who detained the man and relieved him of his 38 caliber handgun and ammunition. The man was identified as Police Senior Sergeant Major Sutorn who is station at Na-Jomtien Police Station in Sattahip District. It is reported that when he first spotted Police approaching he produced the gun and was waving the weapon in the air. The off-duty officer was escorted to Pattaya Police Station where his superiors at Na-Jomtien Police were contacted about the incident. It is not clear at this point if the officer will face criminal proceedings.
