  2. It's not legit...at least, it's not something that should be there. Anyone else having this popup? Your computer is probably infected with a hijacker virus. Scan your computer with the free version of http://superantispyware.com
  3. The big tree on Walking Street fills up with birds around sunset. Watch for falling objects.
  4. Good Morning, Vietnam
  5. Yes, it is. You can confirm this by going to any supermarket or mini mart to look at the retail prices of each brand. Leo and Archa are significantly cheaper than Singha, Heineken,Tiger, or SM(L).
  6. Okay, so you wonder about KFC in "Patts". But McDonalds is okay? I'm baffled by this.
  7. Yes, I can't find him (HB) in that movie either, but I did find Nastassja Kinski
  8. Treasure of the Sierra Madre
  9. Thanks for the current news reports with your special viewpoint!
  10. If nothing is posted yet, nobody knows. Watch for the announcement in the bar crawl section.
  11. Join up for one of the bar crawls, usually every Wednesday.
  12. Yes, they are, along with all the LK properties.
  13. LK Renaissance across the street.

  15. Mine's kaput. I need to buy another myself.
  16. Unless you make the trip frequently, as perhaps Bullfrog does, getting to the mountain road while trying to follow a Google map is a recipe for disaster. Get the Sat Nav!
  17. Good thoughts for Pancake...whatever happens.

  18. Lord Jim
  19. You want to take her with you whenever you go to Spankys? My comment about Residence Certificate was tongue-in-cheek, btw. Let's wait to get more details from Marc before trying to figure out ways to beat the system...Thai phone number, lol.
  20. Maybe a Residence Certificate from Immigration?
  21. Renee Zellwegger (sp?)
  22. I've used Garmin Thai maps and some locally developed maps (I think UGO or something like that). They are both (if regularly updated) capable of guiding you down dirt roads to just about anywhere. I've found them quite useful in Issan, and even more so in Bangkok.
  23. I won't leave Pattaya without hooking up the GPS unit. I have one that came from Hong Kong and was sold to me by a friend who was distributing them to shops several years ago. It has, along with many Euro languages, Thai, and Issan vocalizations. It's pretty funny to set it on Issan and see the expression on your Issan passengers' faces. I don't know about renting one, unless it comes with the car rental, but you can buy one that will work anywhere in the world (with the right map software) for around 8k baht (last time I looked). You can get them all over now..Tuk.Com, Central...about anywhere.
  24. The text indicates it's a series of films..maybe there's more to it than one film can handle.
