Such foolhardy old ladies. One wonders how they got to such an advanced age being such foolish risk-takers. (Ok, I'll stop now).

If the posts on facebook were on the same day, there was a very strong thunderstorm with heavy rain during the early afternoon (2 days ago?)...but it cleared up rapidly, and the weather was clear and calm by 3pm or so. From a quick glance at the pics, I didn't notice any heavy wave action. So, Gabor, were you ever in fear for your life and starting to earmark one of the life vests for yourself?

Yes, I agree, Walking Street is generally assumed to include the Sois branching off as well, so Soi 14-16 are all considered part of that area.

I didn't dispute your characterizing it as rioting...just the looting was likely not happening. As for the other law and order stuff...yeah, that would help. The people who go to Wal-Mart are a special breed....I say they deserve each other.

I expect the only thing Wal-Mart got right in handling this situation was to make everyone pay for their purchases, so it can't be looting.

About 1:10 into the video, at the bottom of the picture, some guy reaches over a woman's shoulder and tries to grab her phone. She bites him until he pulls away. Now I know why I hate shopping.

Hardly a Farang thing at all. I can't imagine why you'd think anyone thought that. It's hitting all across the ethnic groups. I've had staff out for days coming down with it..as I have. No, there are no groups that are exempt that I can see.

I updated the gallery to include an album for the Mi Papa 3rd Annual Party, and due to the server changes a month or so ago, that album shows up, but the old albums are not appearing. I have Invision support looking at the problem now, so I am hoping it's temporary.

I've been noticing people dropping out of the nightlife or being sick for work a lot the past 2 or 3 weeks. I've been coming down with something myself this week..slow buildup to bring sicker or a slow fight to get better...not sure yet.
