I've come to hate Firefox, but it is certainly better than IE anything. I use Chrome instead, and it's just fine. Still, I do agree with your comments about IE.

Yeah, it might be you. I can view it fine. What browser and version are you using? You might need a shockwave or flash plug in to support youtube. Can you view youtube on it's site with the browser?

I am moving this to the Technical Questions section. As to the question...no, there is no way without adding a modification to the forum software. Addicts has such a modification, and I would like to have the same here, but we don't have it (yet).

I meant the url of the post of a specific post where you can't see the video. I can't check all the embedded videos on the site. Maybe there is something wrong with that one, and no one else can see it either. To the right of every post is a post number. Click on that, and it brings up a box with the url of the individual post. Copy that and show it in your post with the question. That's really helpful for these kinds of questions.

One of my daily annoyances is groups of guys who walk 2,3, or 4 abreast in the road, rather than single file or 2 by 2. They almost always come from the Indian subcontinent...worse yet is if they are holding hands. I see them doing this on Pratumnak south of Marine Plaza, even when there are serviceable sidewalks for them to use. They seem to be completely unaware that vehicular traffic is sharing the narrow roadway with them, and that cars have to sometimes cross the center line to avoid them. I'm happy to say, I've accidentally clipped a few with my rear view mirror, usually on Soi Buakhao.

The thing about Honeypot was, when they had Celise (sp?), their female singer, they had a great band for the girls to dance to. They had a winning formula for happy happy, dancing girls, good music, good company. When Celise left, they lost it, in large part, because the girls wouldn't (or couldn't) dance to classic rock, Santana, Credence, etc...all male guitar music. They needed a female singer doing current songs for their energy. I stopped going regularly after that. FLB is not set up for coyote dancers, and from my experience trying to work with them, they are a pain in the ass. "What do you mean you only want to dance 20 minutes per hour?". That means, to fill the shooter bar with 3 dancers, I'd need 9 of them...and they all expect to be paid showgirl prices. Piss on that. Honeypot was my favorite bar in town, and if FLB could come close to the atmosphere and fun that Honeypot had on a good night, I'd be very happy. Secrets? Papagayo? Teazers? Canned music, high priced, shit don't stink coyotes, but no live music.

No bar ever had their formula...First and foremost, a great live band, and secondly, fit and attractive coyote dancers...and reasonable pricing for drinks It was a home away from home for me, because at least I knew I could BF there. As I said before, I am sorry to see it go, but it was outside of their control. Landlords rule this town for the most part.

My personal experience, and my impression based on that, is that the rates for bank transfers are generally better than for exchange booth/bank rates for TC's or Cash. You need to factor in the cost of the transfer, of course, which might offset any exchange rate benefit for a small transfer amount. If I am reading the following correctly, the red arrow is pointing the the wire transfer exchange rate column, and the blue arrow is pointing at the rate you'd get for TCs. In every case, the wire transfer is a bit more baht per currency unit. Still, you'd have to figure out what the transfer cost would be for the amount you are sending to know if it would be a better deal.

According to Thai law, a licensed liquor store can only sell alcohol between 11 am and 2 pm and 5 pm and midnight. Thai authorities even announced a bounty back in 2004 for anyone who reports a store violating these hours, to the tune of 30% of the liquor store's fine. As to reasoning behind this law, who the fuck knows? Something about school kids not getting alcohol after school for the afternoon ban, and from midnight to 11am, so Thais won't get drunk at night and cause trouble, I suppose. Liquor laws bring out the strangeness in lawmakers. Look at dry states/counties in the USA and the silly laws they have.

I've been on a nam took moo binge for the last couple of months. I've got a motorbike guy who gets it from various places, which I sample and then approve or disapprove...there's an amazing variation in preparations, but, if the meat is cooked so it is soft, it's all good. This is one of the best I've had....notice the liberal use of garlic I've just reached the point where I have had enough, and I've instructed my livein cook to start varying my diet. For the first time in weeks, I skipped the nam took moo and had gaeng garee gai. I miss nam took moo already!!

The confusion arises from BigD's desire for a "hot tub". Is that a bathtub with hot water, a tub with jets of hot water out by the pool (as he said he'd like), or a true jacuzzi style tub in the room? As usual, trying to pin him down to account for his writings is nearly impossible.
