I stayed at the Lord Nelson a couple of weeks ago and I liked the place. It was 700 baht a night which was good value. My room was on the first floor and I could either enter via the bar or via the fire escape stairs on soi 6/1. Tropical Berts was just opposite it on soi 6/1 and served good English food. I used to park my moped on Soi 6/1 and I thought it was a good location. Myself and girls could come and go as I please. There was a security guard located on Soi 6/1 entrance every night. The room was clean. I didn't find it noisy at all - soi 6 completely closes down at about 1am anyway

I'm going in ten days. Hopefully the airports will be open. I expect it will all be over by then, whatever happens.

I have stayed in the Whitehouse Condotel. I don't remember any charges for more than one girl. In fact I found I could come and go via the elevator without reception paying much attention. But when I was leaving the charged me an extra 100 per night for internet access which I had not used as I do not have a laptop. But they insisted that this was charged anyway. I had a steaming hangover and was in no mood for a fight so I paid up but I would be interested to hear if they try this with any other guests. I do think in a lot of hotels the staff are prone to try any scam they think they can get

Hi, I am currently in a suite costing 2500b. Very nice pad for the price. Living room with sofa and chairs. Large TV and DVD player. Separate kitchen with fridge full of drinks. Large bedroom with TV. Good bathroom with large shower area. Everything looks pretty new to me. I have a very large balcony overlooking soi 13 which goes around the apartment in a an L shape. They do room service. It has an inroom safe. However, my view is not very exciting, Soi 13. Also, they did tell me you can hear construction work on Soi 13 in the morning. I am moving to the back of the hotal tomorrow to a

Stumpdog, do they have ESPN and Star Sports?

Here is a map of the area. You are spoilt for choice. Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 is the little street between soi 7 and soi 9 on the map. the Majestic Suites 1600baht for double superior room is good value. It is located between Nana and the Landmark on the map. I would recommend the Majestic Grande on soi 2 at 2900 baht if you can afford the extra. Great breakfast and a high standard of hotel for that price. Manhatten is OK if a little faded at about 1500 baht for a double - you do need to book a double here if you itend to bring guests back. Omni Towers on Soi 4 - serviced appartments - s

Where can I watch the Superbowl?

The premiership Football bar on Soi Diana Inn is open 24 hours and shows all live sporting events. I would expect the Superbowl to be on. Big screen tv as well. -
Another suicide at the Tiffany Shooting Range

If someone is in such a disturbed state of mind that they are prepared to commit sucide it is pointless calling them selfish. These sucicide are another argument for strict gun control. -
Anyone know any hotels in Pattaya that have Star Sports or ESPN. I expect the most expensive hotels do but does anyone know of any mid range hotels that have these channels. I like to watch football(soccer). In Bangkok I stay at the Majestic Grande which has these channels and it is nice to watch a game when I wake up with a hangover or whilst I am getting ready to go out. Very impressed with these channels - they seem to show more football than we get back home.

Ultra-thin Lubricated Condoms
johnboy1 replied to jakedsnake's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Virtually every 7/11 shop in Pattaya sells Durex Featherlite condoms as well as other varities. Usually, located next to the chewing gum. Really, there is no difficulty buying condoms in Pattaya. I bet Durex sell more condoms per person in Pattaya than any other town on the planet.Although maybe some of those gay places rank higher. -
I stayed at Flipper House in a mini suite. If I recall I paid 1300 per night. It was clean, a decent size, bathtub shower, TV, mini bar, a little sofa and table and chairs, double bed, and a little balcony outside. Only have safes boxes at reception but that suits me fine. Good location as well and a swimming pool on the roof top if you want to exercise. No problem bringing ladies back. I liked it and didn't notice any noise. A good choice in my opinion. Who did you book with to get 1050 price? I just e-mailed them direct.
