  1. All there now. Only 7 read by West as he never did read more.
  2. Ok, it is Box. The username is taltos1802@Gmail.com and password reykjavik75. I am still working on the upload and will let you know when it is all finished.
  3. Is it alright to put them in my Box instead? They are about 8GB.
  4. I like the idea of Taltos uploading them to his dropbox and giving us the link. Finally found them on a spare HD and am working on it.
  5. Yes, that is him. I have them somewhere. Is it not possible to send them through Dropbox or something?
  6. MM, as you liked Flashman and audiobooks get those read by Timothty West. Absolutly brilliant and such a shame he only did 7.
  7. Is this not a regular USB cable with a mini plug? If you go to the 3(?) floor where the cheap store is on the left they should have USB memory card reader with shuch a cable.
  8. As I said in my earlyer post, they usually last for a short time. It was on the news here to night that it might change to lava eruption wich means no ash in a weeks time.
  9. The eruption in 2004 lasted 5 days. They are predicting a similar time now, might be a few days longer as this one is more powerful. P.s Not to nitpick, but Öræfajökull is the largest volcano in Iceland and the second largest in Europe after Etna in Italy. Grímsvötn are however the most active one.
  10. Get ready for a repeat from last year http://eyjan.is/2011/05/21/eldgos-hafid-i-grimsvotnum-dokkur-gosmokkur-sest-vida-a-sudurlandi/ Yes, there is a new eruption here in Iceland and those contryes around us have been warned.
  11. I paid a green/yellow taxi about 900 with the meter on last week.
  12. Always sit at the back. At least the girl knows what she is in for.
  13. In the end we took a van from here Dive Pro Training. Cost 2.000, all included, and they were waiting at gate 3 in arrival with my name on a card. The driver had almost no english but there was a lady with him with fine english. Had a very good e-mail from Peter, the owner, with a telephone number to call if something went wrong. Overall no problems and no hassle.
  14. Sorry lovedog100, you are right and that is what I would do on my own. The 5 of us might even do it but is out of the qustion with my mother along. Here we are talking about someone who define 100m as a long walk. However the minibus was not small and I wanted to let those board members who are intrested in this opinion know about it. As I said before it was 1000tbt lower than others. Jacko, at no time did it feel unsafe and with 2 children aboard we would have asked him to drive slower if that was a consern.
  15. So you would take one 67 years old mom with bad knee and serious weight problem, one 5 year old and one 2 year old and at least 12 piceces of luggage on the bush to save about 400 pr. person? Not to forget getting from and to the hotels in Pattaya and Hua Hin?
  16. We went from Pattaya to Hua Hin with this company http://teakdoor.com/pattaya-forum/80451-pa...n-mini-bus.html and paid about 600 a man or 3.500 altogether. That was 1.000 cheaper than qoted elswere for a private bus wich we had to take as we are family of 6 with lot of luggae. The trip took about 4 hours with toilet stops and even though the driver went up to 140, it never felt unsave. So I can recoomend them.
  17. Thanks, I have used Bell before and will in the future but, and it is a big but, they stop at 18.00 from the airport. I have never understood that as many land at 18.00 plus.
  18. Is there any recomondation what or from who to take? Arrive next week with 6 people and luggage. If memory serves me right last time I did that we just took one from the outside and it cost 3.500.
  19. If you have trouble sleeping, use ear plugs http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/holemauffopl.html (these are very comfortable to use for long time) to lessen the noise and eye mask to keep out the light. Also use pillow and blanket to make you more comfortable. Do not drink to much as it makes the jet lag worse. I usually try natural sleeping pill first, like Nytol, and if that does not work sleeping pills. The naturals one makes you relax and sometimes I go to sleep with them but not always. I bought Xanax last time in Los and they work fine for me. Ambien, which I have never tried, s
  20. Great garden and good food. I stayed at the top facing the street in the old building. Noise from the street was usually not a problem for me unless there was a party at the bar across the street until morning. More of a problem was the ants in the room, it had to be sprayed every time it was cleaned, and noise betwen the rooms. The old bungalows are not wort the price, getting tired and all smelled. I heard it was for sale for a while so no money put up for maintainance. New building ok acording to my friend who has stayed at Chabba serval times. Overall I liked it but you can get b
  21. I am not doubting you. I am just saying that the link FatherMojo put up, is were I have stayed twice and is nothing like what you descripe. I was in Pattaya last mars and they might have changed it a lot. Are you sure the name is D Apartments? There are 4 guesthouses in a row with D Apartments on the left and were I stayed last time (I do not remember the name) on the right. Behind that they were building a new hotel/guesthouse when I was there and that might be the place you are talking about. However I see that you have the same phone number that I have. p.s Just talking to my
  22. FatherMojo, this is the only D Apartments I know and it is not new. Very nice lady who runs it but the desciptions are not true.
