If you are talking about the old part of the airport, it was the same 1988 when I went through there.

Well, I must say that was not a problem for me. Saw a lot a post about that but did not notice it.

See here http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry768280 as well as here http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48944 and finally here http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/jet.htm I know the middle link is about Kingfisher but the main problem is Mumbai airport and this link will also give you some ideas about it. I talked with my friend who flew with Jet Air from LHR and said never again. When I asked him about specifics it turned out all his complains were about the airport and not Jet Air it self. London-Mumbai, very good seating. Mumbai-Bangkok not so good but not bad (the same as for me Keflavik-London) but shorter flight time. The main thing is the airport and the lack of proper procedure there. I would fly with them again if the price was right but they would have to be much cheaper than Etihad ( my airline of choice ) for that. If you go with the knowlidge that the transfer will be slow and chaotic and are in the right mood for that, it should be ok. P.s. They overbooked the plane from Bangkok so I did not get my pre-orderd seats through Lastminint. When I complained she just said that it was not ordered through the airline so not their problem.

Anybody bee in one?

Have you flown through Mumbai? I can assure you from personal experince that you have to go through security both coming and going. You are driven by bus from and to the Bangkok plane. Going back was bad, not that I had anything else to do. The Indians do not know how to waite in line and cut through any chance they get. This may all chance when Terminal 2 is finished but is how it was 2 months ago.

Only problem I would see is that it is not the best of airports. The security lines are very slow and I think it took me about 1 1/2 hours to get through going back with Jet.

Check the quality first. There is a reason why it is expencive to convert. I have done it with Haupage 150 tv card and the quality is ok but not something I would do for those pictures I would like to keep. By that I mean pictures like your first baby and so on but quite ok for shots from vacations and such.

yes, that is what I mean. However I seem to recall reading somewhere that the further back you sit, the pitch is smaller. That might depend on airlines though and/or the length of the flight.
-
Does it not also depend on what class you buy? I think Thai Air has a least 5 different class in Economy.

Thanks Tom.

Tom, were did you get the Thai air chart?

Here is another one http://www.seatmaestro.com/ I have not tried it though.

I saw on some mp3 site that Apple monitors prices all over the world and makes sure that they stay about the same.

In the end I paid 182$US with Sri Lanka Air HGK-BKK and even got an update from Hong Kong.

Thanks everybody.

I will be there round the 20th this month. So Air Asia is the best then?
-
Am I not right that the cheapest opinion would be Air Asia around 7.500TBH or do anyone here know about a better deal?
-
I stayed at Fragrance Hotel - Crystal. The room was good but small. The only thing missing was a frigde. I would stay there again.

In the end I got as I understand it regular 2 months tourist Visa with 3 entries, counting the arrival. Also as I understood the Counsul that is a standard feature with all tourist Visa.
-
I am geting a 2 months multi-entry Visa here with three entry´s. However the counsul here insists on dates for re-entering. I was mainly thinking about having this as I wanted to have the multi-entry Visa if I saw a good deal on flight during my stay but had not planed anything. Any thoughts about how this works.

I paid about 600bahts a day all incl. at Chabba Hut for 2 months last year. I stayed in the Pink House. The pool and food there is good, the room ok, little bit of ant problem and as my room fronted the street, sometimes to much noise. Oh and the soundprofing between rooms is not the best. Would I stay there again? On the whole yes, but only in the rooms as I found the bungalows not up to standard -
