Same thing happened to me. There are thieves in this hotel. In my case I did not discover the theft until I was ready to depart for the airport. I had a flight to catch so did not have time to follow up the theft with the police. I did write to the manager, and got this reply. This was the first hotel I stayed in Pattaya in 1976. It was called Nipa Lodge then and had a mini zoo in the gardens. I suppose if you want a mini zoo now you can go to Soi 6!

Try Tropical Berts close to Soi 6 but nice quiet pub. Good rooms and Wifi

Have flown on both. Recently did a trip from BKK to Perth on Valuair. Nothing but praise. New aircraft, good seating with 10 inch bigger pitch than most economy cabins. The crew are very professional with a wonderful laid back attitude. Even sang a song for the passengers, when landing. Food is good too. Drinks are not free though, only tea coffee and water is available at no charge. We were half an hour early too! Air Asia is not bad, cheap, but out of the two, I would go for Valuair.
