  1. $856 including taxes and fees as of Nov. 26th EVA airlines. FYI.......http://www.evaair.com/html/b2c/english/ ...........http://www.china-airlines.com/en/index.htm ...........http://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en_INTL/homepage ..........http://www.kayak.com/?tab=flights
  2. No mention on that website about WI-FI or any internet connection. Bummer!!!!!!!!
  3. Porn Ping tower Raming Lodge Star Hotel Downtown hotel Surawonge hotel All are near the Night Bazaar and Loh Kroh road, which has most of the nightlife. Just google "hotels chiang mai" and you can look at many hotels with many agencies. Sometimes, these agencies will indicate if joiners are allowed at no charge.....sometimes not. hotels2thailand.com is one of my favorties. You most likely will have to send an email to the hotel of your choice about joiners charges, if any.
  4. Jum and Took are on the reception day shift.......both of them are super great ladies. Both are very friendly and will do most anything for you. Jum is a shark at pool........she whupped up on me 3 games in a row.
  5. you order a LD for # xx.......she takes one sip and is off to dance......then never returns......bullshit IMO.
  6. Glad to help river....just what clarification do you need to know????
  7. It's a pretty fair hike to the Walking street area IMO. A baht bus will be needed to go just about anywhere.
  8. Thanks MM....... Does the Rockhouse have a working phone that I can call from Bangkok??...... Anyone there that can speak enough English where I can make a booking??
  9. I tried calling your phone 081 004 4536 and get a recording that number is not available now. I have sent emails to alex_therockhouse@hotmail.com and info@rockhousepattaya.com and no luck so far. Even sent you a private message today ok? Calls and mail send today (saturday) 15 September. I want to book a room but can't get ahold of the rockhouse ok?
  10. That explains the no response. Thanks
  11. I sent you an email off your website but no answer and the mail was kicked back to me as "undeliverable" because of too much time passing.
  12. How does one find Soi Khaotalo Torrenova?
  13. AlanLad fails to explain the LESS money deal, so I think this topic title is merely a ploy to get you into his establishment. Juicy headlines like "less money for girls" get our attention. Reality is what brings us back.
  14. Paying up front just really sucks!!!!!! Wire transfer to make a deposit????? This is way behind the times IMO. Take a CC for payment and guarantee and charge it when the customer leaves....what is the big deal here? That and all the "extra" charges is enough to put me off. Raise the rates a little bit and provide sheets and towels.......unlimited ASDL time and 2 or 3 times a week cleaning.......might pique my interest more. But thanks for another option
  15. Every now and again, when I open a page that contains photos, the dreaded red X appears and the photo does not open??
  16. Sounds good AlanLad........now, can you enlighten the supporters of your establishment just what these "not big money" prices would be for ST and LT please? I am more than willing to pay fair compensation to anyone for enthusiastic service, with a smile and a genuine willingness to please. I believe that this attitude would hold true in any service industry where repeat business is always welcome. Keep the cell phones OFF........get rid of the towel BEFORE you get into bed and don't be in a rush. Smile and make your "date" feel like your giving him your BEST.
  17. Hopefully ( but doubtful) this trend will continue. But it's beyond me why someone would pay $1000 bucks or over from the USA to Thailand when it can be had for around $800 bucks with EVA or China airlines.
  18. June Deal of the Month, Offer Extended Bangkok or Phuket from $734* Take advantage of this month's extended offer to visit the beauty of Thailand! Experience the bustling, vibrant nightlife of Bangkok or capture the postcard-perfect view of the sunset at Laem Phromthep in Phuket. With Thailand's wealth of cultural activities, it's no wonder that Bangkok and Phuket remains the top destination spots for the most discerning traveler. Fly roundtrip from Los Angeles, San Francisco or New York to Bangkok or Phuket from $734*. This offer is only available for purchase online at our website until June 31, 2007, 11:59pm PST (or until deemed sold out) for outbound travel between Sep 01 through Nov 30, 2007 with a maximum stay of 30 days.
  19. China Air, EVA or Cathay Pacific are all about the same. A 747 or a 777 is the same plane, no matter what the logo says. Different carriers tweak their seating arrangements a bit.....but economy is tight.....no doubt about it. I could not notice any difference in the cabin crew on either of the 3 carriers. Asian girls who can speak English pretty well. All did their jobs well and none were ever rude or pushy. Both EVA and China airlines are based in Taiwan and stops there on your way to Bangkok and Cathay Pacific uses Hong Kong as it's base. I have flown all 3 and it's a long flight from the West Coast no matter what the carrier. Use a seat selector website and try and get a seat based on the recommendations. Eat the meal and take your favorite sleeping aid and try and catch some sleep.
  20. http://www.thaiairwaysusa.com/EN/News/News...tion.aspx?Id=24 Thai airways adding flights to the USA, effective May 1st 2007.......quite opposite of the OP's post it seems.
  21. Your right Phantom....... During my bouncing around between BKK and up north with Air Asia, they "waived" my overweight bags twice, discounted the weight once and full popped me once. So they do give some allowances and are not super strict on this at times. Seems the BKK counter was the most lienient with Udon being the harshest. I just wanted to alert other travelers about packing 40 kilo bags with Air Asia. Saludos
  22. Air Asia seems to be about the cheapest around for flights within the Kingdom of Thailand (ie: Chiang Mai or Udon) But they impose a checked baggage weight limit of 15 kilos and charge 80 baht per kilo over that amount. Take heed fellow travelers. Saludos
  23. Don't forget to add all the taxes to that $573 fare......
  24. I am guilty of being a "no show" with LostinSpace once, on a ride from BKK to Pattaya. Had a brain fart and missed my flight out of LAX....tried to notify him via email but by that time, Jan was at the airport searching the crowd of sex tourists for my lame ass..... I apologized profusely......and used his service for rides to and from U-Tap airport. All is well.....he was happy and so am I. Point being........notify notify notify
  25. One night deposit yes.....to cover no shows. But I sure don't like paying for many days in advance. If the place is crap, your room is not as promised, your shuffled off to some lesser room......!!! Internet photos are very deceiving at best. What looks like a magical place can be a hell hole!!! Now what do you do??.....ask for a refund??.....Ha.... lots of luck. If there was a FIRM refund policy if the CUSTOMER was not satisfied, ok then.....full payment in advance. I like the lesser known places........all they ask is that you notifiy them in advance if your going to cancel. The RG is well known and STILL does not require a deposit. Having a web presence along with a secure site to make payment is NOT free. Someone along the internet chain is getting a piece of the action on ALL bookings. Maybe a savy manager/owner could pocket MORE money if they did away with web bookings?? Booking mulitple rooms is certainly bullshit.
