  1. It was a great party, loved it when the ladies said we had "Big Chicken" to eat, and sorry to all you UK blokes who tried but did not like the Pumpkin Pie, guess it is an acquired taste, but very popular in the States. The after party bar crawl was a lot of fun, despite almost having my nose broken when I looked away from the current show at one gogo for a moment and when my eyes returned my face was swallowed by this gorgeous ass Here are some more pics
  2. Pete, Thanks for starting this thread and giving me the information I needed to finally purchase my system. I have it set up and still need to do some tweaking but I am able to watch all my movies and tv shows I have downloaded on my 50" Panasonic LCD TV. Here are my specs if anyone is interested Windows XP MCE with free upgrade to Vista Intel Core2 duo E6400 2.13GHZ 2GB Ram 1 TB disk space, with room for two more drives when needed Evga GeForce 9650 GT KO 512 video card - was going to get the 7650 but this card was only 80$ more and the guy who helped me configure th
  3. Damn, don't you guys ever stay home Of course I wouldn't stay home either if I... 1) had the money for another trip, 2) didn't have to work, and 3) damn, I can't think of 3 but you get the idea. Just a jealous rant
  4. Pete, Another question, what sound card do you have and does it output directly to your stereo system or through the TV and what connection type does that use. This is the last piece of info I need (I think) before buying my new computer. Thanks for all your info on this subject. I wish I were still in town so I could see your setup firsthand. Scott
  5. Pete, What type of cables do you use to connect your pc to your tv, (i.e. hdmi, component, s-video etc.) do these run off the geforce video card or do you also have a tv card. Sorry one other thing, do you need special codecs to run the H264 content. I have downloaded some porn in that format and have been unable to play them in any of my media players.
  6. Thanks for that great info Pete, I was recently thinking about how little good TV there is in Thailand for someone from another country and wondering how to get around that, what other options are available to view the homegrown tv. I will be playing with your suggestions over the next few weeks and see if I can get a good system going like you have.
  7. Use Firefox or I.E. 7 with the multiple tab feature, when you head to the toilet, open a new tab and bring up microsoft's website, that should get the shit flowing.
  8. Added three days to the beginning of my trip, will now be arriving on Nov 14th at 10:50am, anyone want to share a taxi?
  9. Curious what you ate when you got sick, I know I was advised before my first trip to Thailand for school not to eat unpeeled fruit or uncooked vegetables. I ignored that advice once and got very sick. Since then I have never eaten raw vegetabes (i.e. salad, lettuce on a burger etc.) or unpeeled fruit and have not gotten sick since.
  10. The only time I take my passport out of the safe is when I need to cash a travelers cheque, other than that I have a copy of the passport.

  14. Should you be worried, nah, just don't do anything with personal info, cause if you can get on so can others. How often are you in Long Beach, we should get together before you head back to Pattaya. Scott

  24. If you are able to surf the internet while you have the network cable unplugged message then you don't need to do anything other than disable that message. If you are not able to surf the internet then this message is telling you your connection is down. You can turn that icon on or off by doing the following if you use Microsoft Windows. 1. on your desktop right click on "my network places" (or something that says network in the name) and select properties. You will see one or more line items that say "local area connection" 2. Right click on one of those line items and sele
