I stayed for 3 days in November. It is a nice hotel, I had the 1 bedroom suite which I got as a free upgrade, the room was nice. The only problems with the hotel are the price is a little high and it is set back behind the new Avenue Mall so it is a bit of a walk to get to 2nd St. The map on their website makes it look like the hotel is connected to the new mall but that is not the case it is across the street and set back just a little bit. Although nice I would not stay there again for the above reasons.

Do a search for Koh Larn on the board you will find plenty of info, if you take the ferry when you get off you can catch a baht bus to one of the beaches on the other side of the island. I think I went to Manee or something like that, just arrange for the driver to pick you up in time to catch the ferry back to pattaya. Again search and get more specifics. As to the food poisoning I would recommend staying away from uncooked vegetables and unpeeled fruits. The germs in the Thai soil are different from the germs in the soil where you come from. You could also check the calendar and see if anyone else is arriving the same day and the PM them with your flight info and ask if they arrive at the same time.

Since Pete's initial post I have started using Newsleecher and GigaNews and I love it. The supersearch feature is great, you find what you want and what groups those items are posted on so you can subscribe to those groups and see what else is out there you wouldn't even think of searching for. And you can download the items straight from the supersearch results. I have downloaded over a terabyte of data in the past few months.

Well found out the 19th is the big water fight day in Pattaya so will be staying overnight in BKK then head up to Pats early the next morning, so will now be leave from the city, most likely Dynasty Inn around 10:00.

I can't find my itemized reciept but I paid $1580 plus tax and $89 to put the system together, the guy sold it as a pre-configured system so I have the year warranty on the whole thing. I did not buy a mouse or keyboard as I have them already, nor a sound card as I wanted to see if the onbaord sound would meet my needs. I will post the individual prices once I locate the receipt.
