Chang Thong House Hotel (Soi Diana)
tomcat76 replied to yorta2's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Have been wondering about that place myself. Might drop by and ask to see a room tomorrow. Some of the bars & massage places on that soi have some tempting looking girls ( mostly up toward the Bukhao end). -
Well, for somebody it would seem...

Need help for bread and butter pickles label in English and Thai
tomcat76 replied to pataya6's topic in Restaurants and food
I've done my own pickled carrots by just reusing the pickle juice that dill pickles come in. (You have to understand; I love carrots.) Maintaining the crunchiness of the carrot is the hard part. I think Mexicans like to pickle carrots as well, but spice it up a bit. -
Walking up Soi Lengkee the other day, I noticed they had an entrance there, too. (More noticeably marked, BTW.)

Do they freeze them off or cut them off or what? 'Also don't understand what skin tags have to do with obesity.

No - it can't be used. 'Has nothing to do with whether or not it can be unlocked. 'More to it than that, but won't repeat what others have already contributed to the thread. WRT my OP, it's all OBE. Thanks, anyway.

What a crock. Duh - no, Americans don't realize their country lies in North America. Really. 'That a fact? C'mon, jacko - at least try and keep things real here.

Counter? OHHH, you mean if coming from the airport...

There's something of a process to enabling the Kasikorn card for online use. I'm not even 100% certain it CAN be. Already discussed in other threads. I HAVE been able to complete reservations with Bell Travel using regular credit cards at their now not-so-new website, but it definitely IS problematic. I've shared your pain. You'd think they'd have worked out the kinks by now. Don't even THINK about trying to do it from a tablet, and laptops don't seem to handle it well either. My last time around they accepted my reservation by phone & let me pay at the office, so there must be some awa

Hanoi Ja----, er, I mean Jane Fonda.

'Was just by there 30mins ago. It did rain some last night, but most of the dust seems to a matter of LOTS of dirt being tracked out from the construction sites onto the entire soi behind Areca by the heavy trucks, which normal traffic along the soi then keeps stirred up. Some of it even out on Soi Bukhao. Coming actually from the soi like that, it pretty much affects the whole surrounding area as much as it affects Areca. ('Course the noise factor will be highest at Areca though.) 'Doesn't seem to be affecting Areca's occupancy much. 'Couldn't get a room for more than 2 days at a time

NOT based on recent experience staying there, but it is in my personal record book as by far the most roach-infested place I've ever stayed. I'd also read about some attention-getting bed-bug experiences, but didn't encounter them myself. Do they still have the live TV-monitoring of the go-go area with the ability to call a girl by number up to your room?

SEA ME SPRING TOO...........A REVIEW
tomcat76 replied to Rickster59's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Currently staying at SMST's older sister which is right across the street. I have a seaview room so looking out on an as yet unblocked view, and right onto the construction mentioned in the thread already. FWIW, the construction site isn't actually adjacent, but rather one lot away. There's some noise when they start up in the mornings, but so far not that disturbing (but then again, I didn't think Areca's was either). Looking at the pictures posted above from SMS Too, my room just looks like a slightly older version of the same thing, and in relative need of some renovation. . IMO, not a b -
Went in person to try & book last week; nothing available (in any of the zones). Just checked agoda, and only rooms in Zone 3 available, which didn't sound very inviting.

Yeap, I'm missing these now, too. Plus a graphic upper left is missing; the PT logo I think. -
Yeap, exactly.

What's the current workaround for the no Flash(player) for Android issue? I have a 3rd party flashplayer app, but it doesn't integrate with the browser. I get the "you have to update your flashplayer" message when I try to access the bar webcam, but following the link of course results in the Adobe "not supported by your device" message.

Direct Bus Services ex BKK to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap
tomcat76 replied to CheshireTom's topic in Transport in Thailand
This is going to sound like a stupid question, but having recently completed some discount airline travel, I have to ask... Does "incl" mean the quoted price actually, really, for sure, includes all taxes & fees? (..which on these fares is quite often roughly equal to, or even in excess of, the fare itself) -

Me, too. Tablet with Android 4.1.1. The problem only occurred sporadically up until today . Seemed to become increasingly consistent through today. Now all the time.
