  1. Southall travel. Fly out 15.10.10, return 01.11.10. It is an E ticket. I then phoned Oman air at London today, and had them put on my Etihad FF info, as they have a reciprical agreement, and chose isle seats whilst I was at it
  2. That's good to hear. I just booked myself £388 return, bargain :)
  3. Check all the sites and book as soon as you can. My experience is that the longer you leave it the more it goes up in price. There are execeptions of course especialy if your dates are flexible. Good luck :)
  4. Any way, back on topic. I normally pay 400 baht for a tailor made silk shirt, well silk mix I presume, If she can equal or better that, I will certainly buy a couple.
  5. Shame for Russ and Lance, I like them both I liked to pop into shooters, early sometimes, for some of the great food they served, but sadly the guy left to open up a restaurant near Jomtein!
  6. Couple of nice girls there, I'll pop in next week for a few beers :)
  7. £395 rtn with Etihad for May :) I booked it via Top cashback (quidco also) which gets a 1.4% cash back.
  8. Great music Cheep beer If only they had a few lookers, and this place would be great! Still worth the occasional visit though
  9. Looks like Ricky is doing a Tommy Cooper impresion. I can get you drunk "just like that"
  10. Indegestion gone eh? Seriously, glad that he is back to normal See you all in a couple of weeks.
  11. With the tax being so high now, any price below £520 is a pretty good deal! :)
  12. EVA are currently handled by Air Canada at LHR who are based in T3. So unless they move, or EVA become disgruntled/get a better deal, they will probably remain there. Having said that, things are constantly changing/evolving at LHR
  13. What is "fly the bus! ?? Is it where you book in at say, Birmingaham, and they put you in a coach to LHR No, but it would not hurt you to sign up. It does not take long, and the FF miles may come in handy one day for an upgrade or free flight.
  14. A bit of info here: http://www.travelmole.com/stories/1122998.php
  15. I have booked up for March, so if anyone gets to go on the 747 before then, please let us know what the entertainment is like in economy please. I had an idea that it would not be the on-demand seat back jobs, as in the 777's, but was informed on the phone by EVA that the entertainement will be the same Hopefully thay have updated it then I will take a PSP loaded with a few films anyway, just to make sure. It's a bloody long flight when you can not sleep
  16. Good news mate I will be back in 5 days to take full advantage
  17. I stayed here for a couple of weeks last year. Take a look at my October trip report for some more pictures, info. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. A few negatives: The mattress was worn out, and the linen had seen better days. The air con above the bed, had the occasional condensation drip on the bed, making the side nearest the window damp. These are all things that may have been fixed. It was great getting in the jakuzzi, but it is only big enough for 2. I have a number for Fon, who runs the bar, although the way that they change numbers/phones, who knows if it is still
  18. I'll be there late November, and will popin for sure :)
  19. Ah yes, I see it now thanks Just had to get a tape out to see what 56cm was approx 22 inches for us old English guys, probably Yanks also Thanks again, for the budget traveler, it is worth considering.
  20. Great review, thanks :) I can not see the TV in your pics. How big is it, and is there a DVD player? Also how is the water pressure?
  21. Sorry to hear about your bad experience I think that, if you posted this in a thread of it's own, you will get more feedback.
