Is Dynasty Inn a good choice?

Recommended Posts

Any info on Dynasty Inn is appreciated.

1. Girl friendly? Extra charge for guest?

2. How close to main action? to beach? to walking street?

3. Room quality? Safe in room? Quiet? Nice pool? Internet access in or near hotel?

Thanks.

The Dynasty on the hill near the radio station:

1. VERY girl friendly!

2. Not walkable in the heat, many moto taxi's and B busses 5-10 minute ride.

3. Rooms are OK. No safes in rooms. Very quiet. Pool is fantastic.

Food is also very, very good.

Dynasty in BKK SUCKS!

You've confussed the Dynasty Inn with it's sister hotel the Dynasty Resort. Both are guest friendly, but the Dynasty Inn is located on Soi 13 and is about 200 meters from the beach where you can catch a baht bus to Walking St or walk to it in less than 10 minutes. This hotels is a little over a year old and if you check out the hotel reviews you should find some photos.

Emil is correct.

Dynasty Inn BKK - Older, but excellent location (next to NEP) and a great alternative to the Nana hotel. I use it as a one night stop over after that late night flight and before I head to Pattaya. Majestic suites is a good alternative if you want a nicer room, but it will cost a bit more.

Dynasty Resort Pattaya - Located on the hill. Newer (5 years old?) but the rooms are very nice. The pool is nice and staff great. The biggest downside is that is a bit far from the action, and while they have a shuttle to Pattaya 4 times a day, the late night return is usually a chartered baht bus for 60-100 baht (depends on your negotiating skills). If you have your own transportation this is an ideal location.

Dynasty Inn Pattaya - Soi 13 between 2nd and beach rd. This hotel is only 1 year old and the rooms still like new. They have a rooftop pool, but it is more like a large hottub without the heated water. I like to stay here for my first 2 nights in town while I find my final long term hotel. Walking st, the Mall, and the beach are all within easy walking distance.

The Dynasty Inn BKK offers FREE transportation to both the Dynasty Resort and Dynasty Inn Pattaya, if you book a minimum of 2 nights in either hotel. I always use this service as it has proven to be direct and convenient (2hrs). I will stay for 2 days, and then move on to another hotel if I choose (or decide to stay longer if I want). I like the Inn on Soi13 in preference to the resort primarily based on location. The resort is actually a nicer property though.

i;m same same as zeus

and will again stay the two nights on soi13 and then probably move to AA Residance just down the road couple spots

i get into bkk at 2355 15 OCT will jump a metered taxi down to soi4 and then hit NEP till closeing, head over to Nana resturant have a bit, check out the "parking lot" maybe grab a gal or head down skuvit and hit some of the sidewalk stops down soi 11-16 and further down. head out to pattaya saturday morning 16 OCT at 11:00 and get ready for strickers birthday party.

you do not have to stay a the Dynasty Inn in Bangkok to use the van transportation service. you can just go in and pay for minimum two nights stay at the Dynasty in pattaya, eighter the resort or Inn and the van ride is free. normally I stay at the Federal Hotel on soi 11 a couple nights then head down to pty.

The dynasty inn pattaya website says it has inroom internet service. Anyone used it? Unfortunately my next trip will be my 5th this year and the only way my boss will let my ass out of the office is if I am online realtime with my office at least every other day. That means being on the internet at 12 midnight to 3 am with my laptop (it has buily in security software for logging into my office.) So I need internet connection when most shops are closed.

BTW i have read all the posts about dynasty. A friend of mine has stayed at dynasty Inn bkk and resort pty for the last 4 years. He loves them and is trying to convince me to stay there this trip becuase he already has reservsation there. Anyone got good things to say about dynasty?? 2guns 2guns

Dynasty Pattaya,,,,no in room internet, they have 3 computers set up in the lobby for internet access. 50 baht every 15 mins. Not sure if you can hook up a laptop, never saw anybody with one.

Great hotel though. Very girl friendly. You can even walk around the side where they park the scooters and get to the elevator without passing reception if you wish. Excellent , friendly staff.

I always use Dynasty Inn in Bangkok for the first night after the flight to LOS and then stay at the Dynasty Resort on the hill in South Pattaya. Some pictures for your perusal.

Rooms at the Dynasty in Bangkok are smaller, here is the bog.

The inevitable bed. Girl friendly. I tend to stay in the annexe at the back.

The front of the Dynasty in Bangkok. Across the road from Nana Hotel and one minute's walk to Nana Plaza. Soi Cowboy is a 15 minute walk away down Sukhumvit Road.

A couple of views of the room at Dynasty Resort in South Pattaya.

Just spent 10 days at the Dynasty Inn, Soi 13.

I most respects a very nice hotel, modern, clean, nice staff, reasonable price, very guest friendly.

However, it was let down by a few small details: Hot water was variable and often only luke warm, towels were small thin crappy affairs, lighting in the room uses those low energy bulbs that have a cool feel to them like flourescent light bulbs - combine this with the luke warm shower and the very effective aircon and I actually felt cold for much of the time. Also, no in-room safe, although I did leave valuable lying around without any problem at all. As mentioned in other posts, the pool is not great.

As for construction noise - no problem (early November). The Whitehouse Condotel next door is basically having blockwork walls built between the floors so noise was minimal.

Would I stay again? Possibly, but I there are many other hotels I'd like to try first. I'm told that the Sandy Springs further down the Soi is a better bet.

And they are probaly pricing themselfs out of the marked.

Hard to justify 1200B, up from 990B, for a hotel that hasn't really made it yet.

Just my opinion.

I thoght the 1200 baht rooms at the Dynasty Inn Pattaya (soi13) were for the bigger, deluxe rooms??? :banghead I stayed there a month ago and my room was 990.

I was there in early October and my room was 990 Baht. I also made reservations for both December and next April for my first two nights on each of the upcoming trips for the rate of 990 Baht. I made my reservations at the Dynasty hotel in Bangkok because of taking their mini bus to Pattaya. Could be I have the lower rates since I had the price locked in with my reservations and next time get charged the higher rate.

deleted member,

I think your right about the 1200 Baht rate being for the larger rooms because that what I paid when I upgraded back in August when I stayed there for a couple of days before moving to the Sandy Spring.
