For those of you in town for the RideHer Cup

If any of you would like to play lawn green bowls, the Pattaya Bowling Green have extended an invitation to play at their club on Tuesday 9th November. They have a great little club in the centre of Pattaya with proper grass and a brick clubhouse with bar and restaurant facilities.

Kevin and Dave - the two guys who run it - have invited us to play there on the afternoon of 9th November. They suggest we start around 4pm when the heat starts to reduce and then continue into the early evening under floodlights. Some of the members will join in and teach us the rudiments of the game and scoring.

It is all very informal - you just need to have flat soled shoes (trainers or sneakers). Shorts and tee shirt are perfectly acceptable.

After the game, we can have a few drinks and a bite to eat in the club house.

It should be a nice way to continue the recovery process after the RideHer Party.

If you would like to join in, please post here so that I get a rough idea of numbers.

We had a go at this bowling a few years back. Turned out to be a fun few hours followed by several cold beers in the clubhouse after. They have shoes you can hire if yours are'nt suitable.

So Doggie, does that mean you want me to go to Heaven, TQ1 and Mistys alone on my last afternoon, or can I bring a few friends to try and roll the rock?

PS. Do they sell sun screen? :chogdee

Where is the Pattaya Bowling Green? I won't be in town for the Rideher Cup but this sounds like a fun way to pass some time once I retire (next year :grin ). Also, anyone know what their fees are?

Thanks to Doggie for organizing this event. Had a great time at trying to figgure out which side the ball was suppose to curve to. As usual the Europeans won again but, was a close match. Later, SB
