Phoenix is only 15 minutes away. It's a good course without being too brutal on the hangover hacker! 2guns The caddies are a laugh and if they take a liking to you, well, you just might find yourself enjoying your time in the trees. 2guns

I imagine they'd let you play only nine but best to confirm.

I would agree with DH, either Phoenix or Siam CC. i agree it is sometimes hard to roll out of bed at 7:30 or 8 for some of the local tournaments.

You should be able to negotiate a taxi for around 6-800 RT and if you are with someone else you can split costs. I've done it many times with a friend or two, and it is actually quicker than waiting for a big group to tee off and finish/shower/etc..

Here is a map with contact numbers for the courses:

If you leave by 1 pm or so you can usually get 18 in, also nice as you can hit a soapy, Butterfly Bar or Buffalo Bar at about 7 on the way back.

Thanks for your answers.

I will be in Ptya from 22.1.2004 - 01.02,2004. Would anyone of you want to join me for a round of golf. (Sometimes I might wake up early :D ).

I have a handicap 16,9, play by the rules, have a love/hatry relationship for the game,

good sense of humour.

I can enjoy playing whatever your skill level is. We can allways have fun in playing.

Even if you are very good (my son has handicap +1,6) and even he sometimes plays with me.

Anyone?

P.S If no golf maybe then we grab a few bear. :chogdee

There is a possibility that I will have a business trip to Thailand during the dates you have mentioned. If it comes off, I plan to go to Pattaya and play some golf for a few days. I wont be making a decision until about 12th January so it will be a last minute trip if I do it.

If I get there, I will be pleased to join you for some golf and to introduce you to the courses. There is some information about the courses on The Solar Golf website

I hope we can meet up. Please feel free to pm me or use the contact link on the web site.

Cheers

There is a very challenging little nine hole course right on your door step. It is within the Asia hotel complex and consists of all par 3's some short and some long enough to use a 5 iron for me.LOL.

Take the road past the fitness park on the way to The Royal Cliff and the next turn right after the police box turning. Well signposted. A few hundred Baht and trolleys for hire also as well as clubs if you need them. Morning is best as can get busy.
