Hungarian restaurant in Pattaya

Recommended Posts

In this year I found the first original hungarian restaurant in Pattaya. I'm not involved in any way and this is not a commercial, just my opinion. I have a principle, that in Pattaya I'm eat only thai food, but some friends seduced me to this place on soi Buakhaow. I can say, that their kitchen is great, they have a really "homemade" style menu. So.. if you want to try something new I can recommend this place.

Sounds great, Gabor! Where exactly is this located? (Soi Buakao is pretty long .... and boring).

Bigmike, there is a feature called "scrolling" available on your computer .... but you're right, Gabor could have resized the Fotos ......

Do you have your toe-jam removed before, during or after your ghoulash?

Just kidding....I'm sure my ancestors were hassled in Hungary sometime during the last century. I just might stop in for a bite.

Dave, personally I don't have oil massage for dessert, but some friends told me, that it's OK. Sometime welcomed if you say: " Chuck wau" :D

MJkidd, and all... you introduce yourself and can say, that you know about the restaurant from me, from this forum. You will be a guest :banghead ( no, no.. I have no percentage, just the owner is a nice guy ) BTW, funny that the owner is not hungarian, he is a lebanese guy, who studied in a hungarian university and married with a hungarian girl. I think they are not professionals, that's why so "homemade" style the food. In their menu some food, which one you can't find even in the most restaurants in Hungary, just at the homes.

Hungarian food? I guess I'll have to do a google search to see what Hungarian food is all about. Believe it or not I've never been in a Hungarian restaurant in my life. Next time I'm there I'll try it.

JohhnyK... the best duck I found is on the corner on the Thepprashit road and Thappraya road on jomtien. The owner knows if the hungarian guys come, they must cooperate with the chicken soup parlour, as we ordering noodle soup with roasted duck... and a portion of roasted duck...

What do you recommend there? Never tried Hungarian food, might as well give it a shot when I'm in Pattaya next...

Mister handy.. Everyone has his own taste, browse the weblinks and try, what you think interesting for your own taste.

I personally tried the gulyás soup, the beef pörkölt ( paprika stew ) and the stuffed cabbage. They all were excellent.

Thanks Gabor. I love foods from all over the world - one of the things I like best about Pattaya is all the different kinds of food that is really good and inexpensive. I will make a point to try Unicum - I've had Hungarian food before here in the States and really enjoy it!

"Das is ein UNICUM", told Kaiser Joseph II when he first tasted the drink to the Zwack predecessor who, as the royal physician, created this drink speciality in 1790. That is how the drink gained its current name and the name speaks for itself...

Unicum became the most popular brand among drinks in Hungary, as it has continuously represented excellent quality, distinctive taste and Hungarian tradition for over 200 years. Although Unicum's recipe is kept secret, that much is certain that it is made of a mixture of over 40 different kinds of carefully selected medicinal herbs and spices. Its unique bittersweet taste and exclusive harmony is brought to perfection by a 6-month period of aging in oak casks.

Thanks to the beneficial effects of Unicum, it can be a introducer or closer of meals. It may be drunk chilled but its grand complex of flavours can be best enjoyed at room temperature. It can be taken with dried plums soaked in Unicum (the order being plums-Unicum-plums) or as a long drink.

I think they have the Bull blood wine, but I had some better wines there. ( personally I don't like Bull's blood, too heavy and acid for me )

Try the Unicum, it's really nice.
