Hotels with Internet in Room

Recommended Posts

I stayed at the Bella Villa Prima on my virgin voyage to Pattaya last May, and it had internet service in the room, but was hoping for something a little closer to Walking st. It seems hard to find "nicer" hotels in Pattaya. I don't mind paying 2-3K Baht for the right place, but I only seem to find sub 2k Baht hotels or >4k Baht that are not guest friendly. Any ideas?

And actually internet in the room is not totally necessary, but a newer modern hotel would likely have it.

You might want to consider the LK Metropole. It meets your requirement except for being close to Walking St. It would be just a baht bus trip away. The place just opened this year and is located near Lolitias. They have 5 types of rooms and for 3K they list their 2nd best room at 72 sq m. You might get it cheaper depending on your length of stay. Don't have a website but you can send an email to: lk_rsvn@yahoo.com and ask for some photos of the rooms. I also looked at the Murcure and while it had better grounds, the LK had better rooms and wasn't isolated like the Murcure.

thanks for responses.

Wow. The Vault is quite the audiophiles dream and very space age looking. The prices are very reasonable too. It doesn't have internet access in the rooms though. It's not really what I'm looking for anyway. I may stay at the Sandy Springs in spite of no internet. That sounds like the kind of place I'd be comfortable at.

How about The Vault on second road which is not to far from walking street ? My next choice would be to try the new Murcure

The Vault has only an Internet Cafe downstairs and no in room access...

stevescottcfi,

cybers,

I don't know why they don't have photos of the rooms as they were very impressive. The lady that showed us the place said that if she received an email that she would enclose photos with her reply.

Pinewood on 2nd Road near Soi 6 has internet (wired, not wireless) in room; two friends were staying there as of my last trip this Spring. I believe rates are 1400-ish a night.

maybe i just send them an offer to make a nice website for them :eyecrazy

it looks nice enough on the outside and i will have a look at it, might be a good choice as my wife doesn't know about it - most other decent places are known to her and so i don't dare to use them when i sneak away.

cheers

According to the Sandy Spring's website, they claim to have internet connections in the room. Anyone know if that's true?

No, not unless it is **very** recent. In their "coffee shop" which is just a few tables set up on the west side of the lobby, they have 3 computers. You go to the front desk and buy 30 or 60 minutes of time at 2 Baht a minute and they give you a little piece of paper with a "user name" and password. When your time runs out you have to buy another block of time. Most of the Internet Shops close by charge 1 Baht a minute. I know 2 Baht, 5 cents US, doesn't sound like much but it runs up rather quickly.

IF the Sandy Spring had in room safes I would stay there again, but as they don't, I am looking for another hotel in the immediate area.

Also, they don't have a kitchen. When you order food it comes from The Haven Restaurant and Hotel next door, to the west. The Haven has some small rooms in the back, around a pool, that do have lock boxes in each room.

I've been hearing of a place across the street from Sandy Springs called the Inn House. Supposed to be newer and has wired internet in rooms, but may be dial up.
