Football Time

Thank god there is only two weeks left until the start of SEC football. Spurrier starts it off against Central Florida. This will be his second attempt to survive outside the swamp and will be interesting to watch.

 

Going a little west, it will be interesting to see if Shula can keep his team out of the court room and on the field. Rumor has it that if he doesn't get a big win this year, the Crimson Tide will be once again coachless because the booster club just can't let go of Bear Bryant.

 

The Bulldogs have typically been a solid team year to year, but once again it looks they will just be brides maids this year.

 

The Volunteers who have both hands and feet have a good shot at beating the west coast boys (also known as English cigarettes) who only play one real game a year.

 

A big battle is expected between the Commodores and some Wildcats for last place.

 

So cheer up everyone. Only two weeks!

Games are much better in person. Breaks are designed to allow for lots of inspection of cheerleaders on the sidelines. Besides, who wants to watch a 0-0 tie?

Windynoi, how can Aussies be bored watching a 90 minute football game that ends in a draw, but can be enthralled by five days of cricket that ends the same way. (actually I do understand the attraction of a five day drawn test match0

I started this thread just for the guys that never learned to use their hands. I even tried to make it vague to those that don't know US football team names/coaches so that they would keep reading. Looks like it worked HOOK, LINE and SINKER!!!!
