guys have stayed at Areca lodge and Eastiny but in Oct looking to staying down the north for a change.

 

i have looked at reviews but alot are dated so was looking for recommendations for clean hotels with pool similiar to the abovementioned ....from say 700-1000```

 

i just liked the look of bars in that area and am keen to give it a go

In Soi 2 of the group Sabai, it have sabi lodge, different pool in a park, Sabai inn and of the other side of the street the newly open Sabai resort (before Weekender), The old but good Beach view also on soi 2, beach road. The cottage, if you like bungalow opposite of the shopping center Central festival, you feel like in a country resort. Soi 4, Thai Palace, old but still good. On soi 3 beach road Charming inn, but the best way is to walk on those street and have a look yourself.

Piero, you mentioned the Thai Palace on Soi 4. Nope, not on Soi 4. You have me curious now. Just where is it?

The advice to just take a walk and have a look is good advice.

Thai Palace is on 2nd Rd next to the PIH and is under renovation. BJ and Sunshine Vista on Soi 3, Mike's Beach and Mike's Orchid on Soi 4 along with the Bella Villa Prima. Also in the middle of Soi 5 a new hotel is about to open.

i like the locations, in fact prefer it

 

have stayed at sunshine vista on soi 3, great place, my fav

also Bella Vista prima on soi 4, newer, but dont like the pool

And of course the old standby, Welkom Inn with entrance on soi 2.

Has a real nice bar frequented by lots of office girls, secretaries, dental assistants, nurses etc.

I've always liked Sabai Lodge, but it'll take you a bit over your price range.

BJ hotel good room, good aircon, nice friendly staff visitor friendly about 6000/6500 week
