Hotel near Soi Cowboy Bangkok

Recommended Posts

Ditto on what IRS said:

If you want to try the westin, go through priceline (although you may end up with the JWM, not too much of a hassle as not too far and also a 5*) for around $75-80/night.

For lower cost range, swiss grottino.

Both girl-friendly and by soi 19.

Check out www.bkktonite.com for up to date info on BKK. Soi Cowboy has a Sky-Train Station on the corner. Opens up all the hotels along Sukimvit(s). I like Majestic Suites. Cheap and clean with in room safe. Book early no matter what hotel you choose.

my point being is your wrong yet again, a few yards???? just like your few yards from skytops to walking st i suppose,if some newbie got off the skytrain at Asoke (which is the nearest station to cowboy) and walked a few yards and looked for a corner as you suggest, he would get lost,am i correct?? he would be going down an unknown soi!!!!

Well, in case a newbie gets off at Asoke, and finds the right exit (which might eventually be tricky) and looks around the next corner, he sees the entrance of Soi Cowboy.

So, what's wrong with the Dude's comment then?

other than that, I suggest the Swiss Grottino for a reasonably prices nice upscale hotel.

ru sure you can see cowboy from off the steps at asoke? i may be wrong, anyway i was looking for soi cowboy a few years ago and got the idea it was near asoke i was hunting all round the back streets i couldn't find it,ok you may say i'm dumb but there is a soi near asoke that i walked round and round looking for cowboy

totally misleading similar to bar owners offering air conditioned bars and charging the relevant price for beer and have the full front open :D

Well, if you have trouble finding the Aircon extra room at my bar I have no doubt you had a hard time finding Soi Coyboy from the Asoke station.

:gone

not really i found it on the way to the bog, just thought the beer prices reflected a/c and you should have a 2 tier price system, still i've got legs i can choose where i drink :rotflmao

I agree with Hub ........ Priceline is the way to go for value for money. For around 75 USD you'll end up with either the Westin/Sheraton (both within a 5-10 min walk from Cowboy) or the JWM on Soi 2..... all excellent 5* hotels that are guest friendly.

BigD,

Asoke Skytrain station is on the corner of Soi 19 between the Sheraton and Westin hotels. The only thing on that corner is some big, well-lit country bar. It is the subway station (Sukhumvit) that is on the corner of Soi 21 (Asoke). Even from there Soi Cowboy is barely distinguishable unless you know what you are looking for. Much easier for a newbie to jump in a cab and say "Cowboy!"..... 40-50 Baht from the corner of Suk Soi 3.

If you take the exit that leads to the Underground, you are about 10 or 20 Meters away from Asoke. You can spot the entrance to Soi Cowboy from there across Asoke Road.

The best way to go is through the tunnel that leads to the Underground Stations, as you don't have to worry crossing Asoke anymore.

SunnyValentine is right on the money.

There are stairs coming down from the SkyTrain station almost right on the corner of Soi 21 (Asoke) and Sukhumvit Road. If you come down on the north side (odd numbered soi side) of Sukhumvit it is just a few steps to the entrance of the subway system. Take the stairs or escalator down to the first level of the subway station, walk east across the station and exit up the other side. As you leave the station turn right (north) and you are not more than 100 feet from the entrance to Soi Cowboy.

If you can't see Soi Cowboy from the northwest corner of Asoke and Sukhumvit Road you really need to swallow your vanity and see an Ophthalmologist.

:D

Hi

Good advice for a newbie, and can take Skytrain back (if open) Bangkok can be overpowering when you haven't been there before.

Drop Inn wants me to send them my credit card info so in case I am a no show, they can charge me for one night..

OK fine.....but their website has no place to SECURELY send them my CC info. Just booking dates requested.

I am now waiting for instructions from them about SECURELY offering my CC info.

If no secure site for CC info......I will find another hotel that has.

Where am I going wrong here??

I called them and gave them my info over the phone. One thing, I paid my bill after each night...on checkout they tried to charge me for a night I had already paid for. Once I showed them the receipt they backed off. Keep your receipts...just common sense.

Dew Drop now tells me they have NO secure site for providing CC info.

They agree with me that sending CC info on a NON secure email is not a viable option and will hold the room for me on my dates with only the request to notify them if dates/plans change.

Nice of them I think!!!
